blegh... no surprise here. I'm not a fan, and I'm not a skeptic. I just don't care at this point. If & When the game releases, I'll let it be out a while before I check it out. My frustration is with the fact that the release is pushed back mearly a month and STILL there's a total and complete lack of info coming out. Official info. Not fan sites and beta testers. |

What a surprise... not. A few months ago I made a post saying that the amount of time they were giving between start of beta and launch was too short. Predictably, the Darkfall fan base gave me all sorts of reasons why I was wrong. I really have very mixed feelings about Darkfall. Their goals are ambitious. But their execution of those goals has to date not left me feeling very confident in their ability. Maybe the game will prove to be great. But so far I'm smelling another Age of Conan. All this delay does is reinforce my plan to wait for about six months after launch before I think about trying the game. ![]() ![]() |

absolutely hilarious there are so many comments that could be made about the delay - and about the defense this site is giving aventurine (weird to say the least) - but the reasons given are so funny and the anticipation of all the fanboi comments prevent me from making the cohesive statement i would like to i do know one thing - i'll be buying some popcorn on the way home from work tonight - it is going to be extraordinarily delicious

Wow, I requested a couple days off for the launch and yet again Aventurine has proven to disappoint. I haven't stated one word yet as I wanted to see for myself exactly what would happen. I don't know about you there reading this, but in my line of work, the service, information, and effort provided by Aventurine and those defending personnel of MMORPG.com has proven to me this game is not going to turn out to be the dream everyone was hoping. I wish them luck in getting this up and running and I encourage MMORPG.com to let them breathe and die in their own waste. Why contribute to the pile they have successfully built? Especially when the pile smells as bad as it does. |

Benefit of the doubt or not, this is yet another huge red flag for any sane consumer. I've been burned by craptastic launches more than enough already, this is the final nail in the coffin as far as I am concerned. I may still check out the game after it has actually launched, but no way in hades would I preorder at this point. |

To me this is not that big of a deal, they are launching 30 days later. Now if they delayed it by 6 months, I would be really skeptical. |

Other companies, that you know are actually making a game. This history behind this so called game, and the people behind it can no longer be given the benefit of doubt. There is more than just cause for concern regarding this whole game. This person Tasos now says, with a week, YES a week till launch they need more etsting and limitied players and delayed launch etc. Wasnt this the same person saying for damn years they have the ebst AI in the world testing the game, along with the ebst QA etam ever. And they had done real world simulations with thousands of ai bots or whatever in the game. This person Tasos, spews lies and lies on an epic scale. Wouldnt be suprised if they make a pre order page or soemthing then take everyoens money and do a runner. |

Seriously...out of all the things you people COULD be trashing DF for....you pick this. I really wanna trash DF with you guys, I really do. Why do you insist on making it so hard for me? Why do you guys pick the most retarded crap to whine about? Stop forcing me to be on the dirty side of the fence...PLEASE! |

You may very well have valid concerns there. Which is actually why I wrote this article. I wanted to present folks with what i asw as the facts of the issue so that they could make up their own minds one way or the other. I'm not here to tell people how to think.
I'm just sayin is all. :) Cheers, |

There is no such thing as perspective when it's about running a business. Business 101 is simple yet Aventurine has shown no sign whatsoever of having any business intelligence, including no marketing campaign prior to such a anticipated game. Now please bring in tha Tacos or whatever the name is said they have a reason to justify no marketing, that just does not make any business sense... Do i want the game to come out as i want to play it. Yes! Do i believe it will come out, no. |

Its not 5 months or a yeAR form launch, get a grip, its 1 week. Games are finished and the major testing is over 1 week till launch. |

I love that phrase, "I'm just saying." I'm not attacking as for the most part I believe you are genuine in your reply and the part I doubt would only be judgement.

this game has been delayed for years now....ever 2 or 3 years tasos re-emerges saying the game is done, then delays the game for a short time frame, vanishes, hear from him again 6months to a year later, then promises another launch.

I would venture to say that you are wrong. I say this because, in every MMO I've personally played, "testing" didn't end until almost a year AFTER launch. Just because these companies choose to launch their garbage on us does not mean that testing was really ever "finished". Also, the last run of MMO's have had delays within a month of launch. By last run, I mean to say the last 3-5 years of MMO gaming. I view the genre in blocks that generally run 3-5 years each. I never felt that viewing the MMO genre "by year" was a good way to look at a series of games which tend to last a player 3-5 years. |
