it seems way to quite for a game that will be released next week do you think they are gonna delay it again? or will it be there on the 22nd

one thing's for sure.. if they are gonna make it, we'll have to download it. No way they'll ship the retail boxes that fast and make agreements to resellers |

I don't want to kill you sgtfrog, it was all peer pressure. That and I won't have my mind made up about DF till a little while after the release. Maybe it's like that part of huck fin where the con-men tell the people they con that if they tell people the con, they will look like idiots for falling for it. So all the people who get conned end up being apart of it. When you open the game it just says "haha got you, but hey listen to this..." Sent me an email if you want me to mail you some pizza rolls. |

Indeed, next week shall be the ritualistic comment of Tarrying Tassy, saying Darkfall is indeed almost finished, more so than other games of this type, accompanied by a couple of "leaked" screenshots from the closed beta taking place in Aventurine's Janitor's Closet and Multimedia Studio, and a new release date of May 22nd. Or September 22nd. Whatever the fanbois would like to hear. |

Well even if its released on the 22nd without a beta it won't be any worse than the WAR and AoC releases.

I can already see it now... Suddenly, on the 22nd, a link pops up to download the client. This download is going to be hardcapped at 2kb/s. This will make the download take an extraordinary amount of time. For those that can maintain their connection long enough, this download will take months. Tasos will proclaim that it is taking so long due to the incredibly high demand of all the people trying to download it. Tasos will also claim the people that have finished downloading it already are absolutely loving the game, and he will post "quotes" from those "players" saying how great the game is. But because the download takes such a ridiculously long amount of time, no one has actually finished the download, so you won't be able to find ANY information from people playing the game(because their are none).
This will buy Tasos a few more months to complete the game. Tried: LotR, CoH, AoC, WAR, Jumpgate Classic |
