Instead we should believe Tasos 100% and go rate DF as the best P2P game of 2008 as you suggest in another thread? The whole arguement that we should not expect any information from Tasos or Aventurine till the 22nd or later about system specs, where to order/ download etc. is pretty silly really. But hell i'm willing to wait another 8 more days till the great launch to see how right the fans that are currently  preachling all should blindly follow Tasos are.

Lets face it Aventuire has been doing well living off of the goverment grants from Greece for the last several years,

So are companies having good ideas and need investors money all pigs in your eyes, because thats the standard way in Western economy to get money if you don't have enough ... beside that Aventurine risks a lot of their own money ..they have been self founded for the most part over the years ...

now evidently even they want some results, so now Tasos is saying how terrible Greece is for technology and  MMO developement ( as reported at least once in the open coffee)

I am sure they want some results themselves..i remember a post of DF art Director Henning back at late 2006 saying something to his art community along the lines  like "don't expect to see much more of my private artwork time in here cause i have to throw all my working time in my lifetime thingy project DarkFall"

exactly how did we get from Tasos pormises that the games totally complete and could release today (which was what the 5th or 6th of December)  to it needing more investors?

I am sure they don't need investors for release ..it makes no sense to announce a release date that early in the year  if you need investors..myself was using sarcasm

Yes I do advocate voting for DF in every poll available, why should people get to spout crap on this forum and not have to face any kind of reprisal, the reprisal in this case being annoyance if it wins?  They have had their fun and I will have mine.

If you read my posts you would realise that I don't believe anything about this game until I see it.  Just because I don't believe the trolls does not mean that I belive Tasos either.  Some posters here  believe every tinfoil hat theory that comes out of a trolls mouth.  There has been years of trolling this forum with all sorts of utterly stupid ideas such as the car lot theory and hundreds other that have all been proved false.  Why do people continue to believe it?  You would think having a track record of being wrong that extends for years would make people realise that some on this forum cannot be trusted when it comes to their negative comments.  Just keep lapping it up.

I think they will co-exist.

Imo for every 10 people that try eve 3-4 dont get passed the trial cause they can't leave their spaceship.

If you think about it that market alone can be up to 400k if DF is done right.

I'm just hoping DF is decently put together so It could have a nice small community that likes to kill eachother and fight wars and stuff.

I'm beginning to wonder if the 22nd was only announced because of the investor meetings.  It is probably much easier to ask for money for a game that is 'gold' and only needs help with marketing and distribution, rather than asking for money for a game that is a year away from launch.  It seems to me, the only indication of the 22nd launch was that it was used so much with the investor meetings.

This is an interesting theory.  Hopfully if the game is not ready, the will wait and not listen to the investors (/cough AoC).  But if it is, then it is.  Either way we will find out, I am guessing by the 22nd LOL

You know if they can support 10K simul users hell they can just sell their server - client software to IBM and to heck with the game world. They will have invented something that the worlds software giants can't accomplish.

supporting 10k users on a single server or server group isn't anything new. AoC did it or dang near close, and wasn't WARs cap 5k?

What if Aventurine is keeping quiet for a reason? I mean look at us fighting eachother, it sparks so much interest from so many people and that draws more and more people into the game. I just hope that are keeping quiet for this reason...
