Im sorry but your wrong on one thing...Duke Nukem Forever is the holy grail of Vaporware...hell it even won some awards on that too. DF is just a POS game that has taken a long time to develop...nothing special at all |

Is it just me, or are expectations low these days? Where are the days gone when people expected WOW killers and uber hyped games? I kinda miss those days when we could believe like children. Nothing but cold sceptics these days, myself included.

Kinda the first "Winner" I agree on as being the most Anticipated game, I mean people need to blind to not see Darkfall pop up on every type of MMO forums with people hoping it will deliver what they promise, that is what is called people being anticipated by a product. Now when I look at some of the reply's here, people act as if the game is live and people are already playing it, thats not the case, but sorry I don't see any more hype coming from other games then at this moment we see with Darkfall. And if people are honest at this point it should not matter if the game is broken, unplayable or what ever cause that is not what this topic is about, it pure about the Most Anticipated Game, and regardless it will not be a game for me it is clear to see how Hugh the anticipation is of this game by many other people. Oh and Darkfall has the feature's I love in a MMORPG but the settings/timeperiod/visuals of the game do not attract me, and I can't play a MMORPG for it's feature's only. But I do hope the game will deliver that MMO many have been waiting for. ------------------------------------------------------------ |

Well any pre-release awards mean nothing. You know it as good as myself. Yes they (awards) make some buzz around titles and serve as a good marketing tool. But we all know the best marketing is a game quality. At least in MMORPG genre. |

Just yesterday some DF fan was going around all the forums to get people to blindly vote for DF on another mmo site polls. I wonder how they win?!?!? ----- |

Anticipation or being enthusiastic, is an emotion involving pleasure (and sometimes anxiety) in considering some expected or longed-for good event, or irritation at having to wait. Robert Plutchik listed anticipation as one of the eight basic emotions in his psychoevolutionary theory. See also hope. A name for pleasured anticipation is excitement. Anticipation can be shown in many ways; for example, some people seem to smile uncontrollably during this period, while others seem ill or sick. It is not uncommon for the brain to be so focused on an event, that the body is affected in such a way. Stage fright is a type of anticipation, stemming from the actor or actress hoping that they perform well. Get the feeling the majority in here don't seem to understand what anticipation means, seeing so many comment that don't make much sense in regards of the topic/award. Figured this might help ------------------------------------------------------------ |

didn't they have videos 3 or 4 years ago? not sure what you're getting at here. could we please get correspondent writers and moderators, on the eve forum at mmorpg.com, who are well-versed on eve-online and aren't just passersby pushing buttons? pretty please? |

It definitely wasn't my pick for Most Anticipated Game of 2008.
It shouldn't have bene in the nominations anyway considering it's only being released now...so they say. |

Personally i think the KOTOR MMO deserved to win this. Shame that it wasant on the list and that the Forumfallers are practiced with spamming the 'create free account' button. Another great example of Moore's Law. Give people access to that much space (developers and users alike) and they'll find uses for it that you can never imagine. Dark n Light can.. Sorry I mean Darkfall can go one of two ways if it is ever released........ everyone hates it because it is shit or the SWG way where every normal person hates it because the game is broken with no content but it seems to have a small hardcore community that love it. |

The art direction probably warrents some criticism as well. Waiting for: A skill-based MMO with Freedom and Consequence. |

Last i heard nothing was confirmed. And the game model has yet to be decided so its a bit premiture to be calling foul to those devs when we havent even seen any proof of what game model it will be.
This is ammusing actually considering that darkfall is also a game that has yet to prove its game model yet there are loads of people naysaying it before its even out.
