All they've "won" at the moment is one of the top 20 games going onto the next round.

Scary in the ways that atm there is 600+ people stupid enough to vote for a game that not yet has been released and proven it's worth. I mean come on the poll is about best game for 2008, if Darkfall winsthat poll it only means that the site that put that vote up never ever must be taken serious. Still a few days to go before the game launches, and only time will tell if they succeed or not.

I never thought sending that site a mail and asking how they can be serious about putting up a game for best game of the year 2008 which hasn't even been released yet actually would work... :D But it did, no more chance for the rabid DF fanbois to vote the game as best of 2008. :D

DarkFall got taken off the list for the categories it was not elgible for... It will make it into the next round for those that it is elgible to win... we'll see how it goes for them in the next round of voting. They won most anticipated game here at mmorpg.com... but it appears they'll have a lot more F2P mmo competition over at mmosite.com... so it should be interesting to see how it shakes out. Especially since some of the ardent supporters were already claiming that DarkFall won... which they didn't. They had only made it into the next round of voting for being in the top 20. Kinda sad when the ardent supporters have to resort to lies and trickery to try and pump up the game. Just let the game speak for itself... it's already got more hype than it will be able to live up to. No need to try and pile on more.

Kinda funny how the supporters of voting DarkFall for this award all disappeared as soon as DarkFall got taken off of the main category it was not elgible to win. As it stands now here are the current categories that DarkFall is in the top 20 (meaning that it will go onto the next round of voting). Favorite P2P Game 2008 : Not Elgible Favorite F2P Game 2008: Not Elgilbe Most Anticipated 2008: #2 (about 350 votes BEHIND #1) Best Graphics 2008: #4 (Not sure why they left it on this one... but we'll see how it fares in the next round) Best New Game 2008: #5 (Again, not sure this fits... but it's about 1,000 BEHIND #1) Favorite Company 2008: #2 (Looks to be DarkFalls best shot at winning... about 100 votes BEHIND #1) Remember... this the voting for Round 1. There will be another Round of voting with only the top 20 from Round 1. Then that will establish the top three. So... there is quite a bit more voting to go.
