I liked those giant turtles on Rori lol, especially when I could sweep kick them with my TKM.  Man, they fell hard and the ground shook.  That always cracked me up.  I also used to like those giant killer bunny rabbits on that planet.  Reminded me of Monty Python.

I also liked some of the panthers.  Sometimes it seemed that they would actually stalk you....did they have that kind of AI behind them?

Rock Beetle was my favorite as a non-CH player.

Greater Sludge Panther was my favorite as a CH.

My ATST was nice as well ;)

I became attached to my Dewback.  I rode that thing everywhere.

I was a CH, so, I preferred mountable creatures over speeders.

I was most fond of the creatures before they did some AI adjustments.

Before that, some creatures "tried" to act as their RL counterparts.

I once watched one of the Corellia cats sneak up on its prey and I found it awesome. Ofcourse, I also had one of em stalk and sneak up on me... Darn thing pounced me when I least expected it after trailing me for 2000m....I was busy fighting another creature..... Hurt my feelings it did, by not being a gentleman and have the "stand around and wait for me to hit it" AI of today

Other than that, the Durni was my favorite. Loved em bunnies.

I loved the different birds on each planet. They gave the worlds that much more of a real world feel IMO. My Creature Handler buddy used to go out specifically to tame those critters.

as a ranger its hard to pin down a favorite. klikniks, kimo, those things on dant that looked like rancor (kinda)

and those things that were a cross between a insect and a ape. had a pet of one of those.

Those spiders on Endor that spit green crap at you were pretty awesome.

Great Plains Stalker.  Biggest of all the cats (they were massive).

Took months of traveling all over corellia, finding rare spawns of these bad boys and then finally getting a baby to spawn.   Tamed the first baby I ever saw on the third try.  I was so proud.

When I converted him though when BM hit, it turned him into a regular old razor cat in size and color.  The only thing that remains is his name:  Great Plains Stalker (baby) which I never changed.

Yeah my biggest accomplishment might have been unlocking jedi (back when it was something to brag about) and the 10 months it took to grind out my first template and complete my Knight trials, but without a doubt, Creature Handler was hands down the most fun I had in game and my very first and most favorite profession.

I have to say klikniks, pekopekos, and dewbacks.

Klikniks just looked cool and the first time I meet one it scuttled across the screen right in my face and scared the shit out of me.

Pekopeko's because of how massive they were, they filled the sky and let you have it if you were not lucky. The rarity of that one special feather made the hunt enjoyable.

At last dewbacks because well it was my favorite mount even though they weren't the fastest things I still rode it around. Vehicles ruined it, while I know it is a part of star wars, the mounts allowed more exploration then a speeder could ever give you. Just my opinion anyway.

Where do I start?

One of my favorite creatures was my little level 10 wrix that I used for early CH grinding, because she was incredibly fast on the attack and it was great fun to watch the animiations.  When I had moved up the CH ladder of course I got a gurreck which was practically the same thing, but of course proportionatly stronger.  When n00bies asked me to show them my best pet, out would come the gurreck, but they were unimpressed.  Then I brought out the rancor, who was obviously more impressive visually, but the stats were better on the gurreck.

Also great for impressing the n00bs was my giant peko peko.  That thing was HUGE!  My fambaa was great for making noise and standing under to get out of the frequent Naboo rainstorms!

I dearly loved my Greater Sludge Panther, Butch, who I tamed my first night as a CH.  Butch became a favorite of my guildies because GSPs were such tremendous tanks back then.

My dewback was probably my favorite mount, closely followed by my savage humbaba.  What was fun about the dewback was sending him on the attack, and after he'd taken care of the target, he'd come bounding back to you like some huge dinosaur skin puppy, with that goofy smile.  Priceless.

CH, Jedi, Commando, Smuggler, BH, Scout, Doctor, Chef, BE...yeah, lots of SWG time invested.

Bantha Mounts:  Come on... they were just awesome looking.  When you rode one of these on Tatooine (pre-speeders), it was just so epic.

Dewbacks: They just seemed like big happy dogs... cute, loyal, etc.  Sometimes I had to send my awesome Dewback mount into combat to save my ass.. and I died a little each time he got taken down.

Graul Maulers:  When I was a CH, I loved having two of these bad boys to send into combat.  What isn't awesome about commanding two giant, buff, mean beasts to do your bidding?

Greater Sludge Panthers:  The coolest looking cats in the game, and fun in CH combat.

Krayt Dragons:  Back when they were rare and you *really* had to spend time looking for them, it was some of the best combat group hunts I had.  When I had a master weaponsmith, I made ludicrous amounts of money selling tissue enhanced weapons.

Ha!  I knew that panther was stalking me.  I thought it was just me.  I was sneaking up on some imps actually and just as I was about to jump them, I was eaten by a panther lol.  Damn that was funny.

Also, I had a friend that had this pet bantha.  Man she loved that thing, treated it like a real pet.  Cute as hell :).

Man, this is great stuff.  I remember coming up to a friend who was standing under this dinosaur.  I'm like, "what are you doing?"  She's like "milking a Fambaa."  Wth? lol :)  Man that made me laugh.

Then I had this other friend that had this thing about trying to befriend all the wildlife he came across.  Well, I found that out after I got to know him a bit.  At first he was walking up to this big...thing... and I was grinding rifles at the time.  I thought it was going to eat him, so I blew it's head off lol, man was he pissed.

Leaving aside that they don't look much like mammals, fambaa were a serious PITA to milk, because any milkable creature had a "center of mass" you had to be within 1m of to start milking them.  First, you had to have /maskscent up to avoid spooking the creature (of course nowadays that's not necessary), then you had to position yourself in just the right place, and that was hard to determine on a fambaa.  I mean, there were no visible udders to focus on, so you had to try to milk in several places before the process started.  If the fambaa started moving, well, have fun chasing it and trying to stay at the right place to keep the milking process going!

Having said that, sometimes fambaa would cooperate, and I was once able to pull off a triple milking when three of them stood on top of each other and stayed put for 30 or so seconds.

Players who were not familiar with CH didn't realize what a CH was doing standing there spouting the /tame script in spatial (don't be scared...easy...) and how easy it was to disrupt a /tame attempt, especially with aggro creatures.  Taming crimson razor cats or rancors was absolutely nerve wracking...hoping your MS didn't break, and one of the relatives realized you were there trying to kidnap their nephew.  It was an incredible rush that a taming in WoW can't match.

Bull rancor baby... 1/250 or 1/500 spawn depending on which guide was right.

Took me 4 months to track one of those down.

Great Plains Stalker I believe it was called. never got to tame one, but I hunted for one for months. Killed many an adult, and got killed by quite a few as well. That just might be my greatest disappointment in the NGE -- it destroyed that game I was playing for so many, many months.

I also loved my Wrix and my GSP.

My favorite creatures?  Like I love them?  None.

My favorite creatures?  Like I love slaughtering them?  A few here...

Those bipedal troll looking thingies on Tatooine.  Kill them, they sometimes do an awesome backflip to land on their face.

Ewoks.  Don the Stormtrooper Armor.  Travel to exotic Endor.  Find a peaceful Ewok village.  Admire their peaceful, primitive lifestyle.  Equip Flamethrower.  Destroy their once peaceful lifestyle.

... 1 burning Ewok at a time.  Very few things in SWG were more hilarious than seeing a village full of Ewoks on fire.

"I have only two out of my company and 20 out of some other company. We need support, but it is almost suicide to try to get it here as we are swept by machine gun fire and a constant barrage is on us. I have no one on my left and only a few on my right. I will hold." Bipedal troll looking thingies?  You mean squills?  The Don King lookalikes of SWG?

In beta these guys were just death.  DEATH, I tell you!  Probably because EVERYONE was a noob and there were no TKMs or Master Riflemen or anything like that, and these guys were badass.  They'd aggro from it seemed like the other side of the damn planet.  People would kite them into Anchorhead to see everyone panic.

Of course, after release, and people were allowed to play for a bit and get more skills, even the mountain squills were two hit kills, tops, for a Master Commando with a decent FT.

Nowadays they're pathetic.  None of them higher than level 20.  The squill cave used to be where padawans went to level after Chapter 9, because squills were great XP for them.

Ewoks were certain death in beta, too.  People thought, gosh, they're so cute!  Let's try to kill one!  BAD IDEA!  You'd have the whole tribe on you in a flash, and a gold protocol droid could not save you from their wrath!

As for fun things to see die, IMHO you can't top watching a gungan's death.  It was like, "take this, Jar-Jar!  And that!  And that!"

CH, Jedi, Commando, Smuggler, BH, Scout, Doctor, Chef, BE...yeah, lots of SWG time invested.

I would have to say my favorite cat would be the gurrecks(been so long that may be misspelled). Those things use to be fast and I use to lvoe haveing mine sprint between spawns. I think only a Master ranger could out run them before speeders. I did have one I tamed but I also found a BE on the was the perfect red/orange blend that I really liked.

Can not forget the Maul brothers I have told the story of tameing them a hundred times so I will spare everyone the 101th telling but still one of my favorite memories. I was really happy to tame a Bull rancor a day  after killing another baby because of lag.  Can not forget those merks half spider half monkey looking things. Those were some nasty things and the only time I saw a death head's baby was on test :P

I even liked those gaint tutrle looking tortons but for the life of me I can not remeber which version was tamble. I want to say the ones on rori but I coudl be wrong  it has been so long ago. Can not forget the Grand Wrixs bigger versions of gurrecks but I think I have a soft spot for them since I had a lair of them kill me when I was running around the wilderness at night and forgot to turn on my self light :P
