To at least make the bet fun, you've got to predict the reason for the delay. 

To say "for whatever reason"  that's a bit too easy... so you'd have to give me 4 to 1 odds. 

I'm not sceptical at all, everything positive said about this game is true and should be taken at face value.  This will be the most revolutionary game since Elite launched on the BBC Micro in 1984.  Mike Morheim will be looking for a new job by the end of next month.

Self proclaimed MMO "expert" ... or perhaps "veteran" is the word here.

Extreme skepticism sits in me as I have tried a multitude of MMO's and have yet to remain in ANY MMO longer than a few months for about 6-7 years now (since Asheron's Call 2 dropped off - Darktide/PvP made the game semi-playable). 

Each and every new release has brought more of the same, coupled with bugs and extreme disappointment.  Why should the next hyped game be any different...

The delay will be due to the publisher (GNi.. right?) 4:1 odds

The Marketing Landscape won't let Darkfall release 10:1

Hey I'm a massive skeptist and yet big fan.

I don't think the game will come out 22nd, but then I didn't think they'd live up to the promise of the last gameplay video and was proven wrong.

It would be pretty amazing if DarkFall lives up to what they've claimed.

Some of us are willing to admit that DarkFall might not even be close to what Tasos claims.   It's o.k. to NOT hype a game up to impossible to reach heights... and still want to play it when it comes out.

There's a difference between being a skeptic and being a troll. Most here fall into the second category. They don't care if the game does come out, they just want to give other people a hard time.

When it does come out, they'll complain endlessly about one thing or another. The graphics will be poor or there's a bug somewhere in the world. Here's some quotes I know you will use.

"This game is unplayable.."

"The graphics are a joke.."

"Unfair.."

"They shouldn't release a game that's still in Beta..."

There's trolls in every new game. You all are the trolls in this one.

I am a skeptic, I don't assume that I'm going to jump in and love this game and that everything that I think is in the game will be there. The difference is that I don't feel the need to act superior, as if I know everything and that anyone that doesn't agree with me is stupid.

Even though it pushes the limits of the rules I have for my thread, I'll give you permission to try and make sense of what is in red vs. what is in blue.

They seem to be a bit hypocritical in my reading of what you've posted there... but perhaps I am just misunderstanding what you trying to get across.

Even though this thread is for skeptics only... I'll let it slide for you to clarify your point.

Nope, FLAMING is agains the rules of mmorpg.com and will be reported. 

This thread in particular is only for those that aren't all caught up in the hype of DarkFall and gives a place that the mods will keep free of those who don't abide by the "rules" that I set at the beggining of the thread... since that seems to be the precedent that they have decided to set for themselves.

Go ahead you can make a thread of your choosing and decide which rules you want enforced for it.

I'm convinced it'll make it on the 22nd. What I'm not convinced of just yet, is all the features (the small ones I liked) in the game.

Also, it's possible even with a bug free released, their servers might take it up the ass.
