This should be our mantra for the coming year. We need this. We need a Firefly MMORPG and it needs to be a full blown sandbox game, with FPS type combat(use Mount & Blades combat). Give us the Verse! Please...oh please gamer gods....hear our pleas!

Teala just wants to make a character like River and go crazy and kill a whole lot of people.... Actually that doesn't sound all that bad. Firefly me!! No required quests! And if I decide I want to be an assassin-cartographer-dancer-pastry chef who lives only to stalk and kill interior decorators, then that's who I want to be, even if it takes me four years to max all the skills and everyone else thinks I'm freaking nuts. -Madimorga- |

I loved the show (mostly). But the material just isn't there for a game. And anyway, if it's a sandbox as the OP suggests... what bearing does the show have on it at all? Once you're outside that little ship and the character arcs, it's just a wild-west-y sci-fi universe. It's not like Firefly has SUCH a huge following that a developer wouldn't think... "cool vibe, what should WE call it?" Don't get me wrong, I'm all for new and creative sci-fi games, and still waiting for one with atmosphere, story, and more than ship to ship combat. I just don't see how this is a reasonable possibility. |

Whats Firefly? I have never heard of this series at all and when was it on. When we get back from where we are going, we will return to where we were. I know people there! |
