A good high pop. server with good players, and possibly a guild. I am gonna be starting the game back up and I am willing to play any class needed. Most so hoping ot play DPS, and least of all a healer lol. Well let me know. --------------------------------------------- "Everyones life has a beginning and an end, No one can change that."-Hiko |

best thing to do is just create any character and when you log in click on the guild tab. this will bring up every guild that is recruiting and will give you a small description of the guild as well as what they are looking for. Obviously since you are starting up most raid guilds wont take you unless your near max level but at least you can see what the overall major classes needed out there. Antonia Bayle is the highest pop server semi decent raid guilds (though not too many good ones) |

Its Antonio Bayle or bust. No other server has the same pop - I moved from EU/UK to Antonio Bayle and the difference is game breaking. Unless you want a PvP server then dont even consider another server :) -- |

I'm on Oasis, and it's seems to be a very populated server. I know of at least 20 secessful raiding guilds on that server and still tons of other guilds that have dozens of people in them that dont' raid all the time. I don't know how much more full AB is but Oasis seems to be living quite well. |

Just took a pic for you at 03:45 GMT (5 minutes ago). These are the North American servers.

See, here's the issue.... Antonia Bayle is the highest population but if no one ever plays on the other servers, then those servers population never goes up.
Why don't you try being different and actually joining one of the other servers? I promise they aren't dead, they just aren't as full as Antonia Bayle. Find a guild. My website is closed temporarily. Hopefully it will only be a short delay. |

/agree with Moirae. My main server is Lucan, although I have an alt or two on Antonia Bayle. While AB is more populated, LDL certainly has a large enough population to enable one to succeed (ie., business wise) and enjoy (group, etc.) While I am sure that there are some servers that have reached a level of stagnation, some of the complaints about lack of population are due to the way in which the community is set up (guild halls, etc.). Unlike WOW, for example, people do not need to congregate around the one broker in town - there are several. You can also do some business from your in-game home or guild-hall. So things may, at times, look worse than they are as far as population goes. Server merges (there, he said it!) are always chaotic, but I suspect that eventually we will see some as EQ2 ages a bit more. So try some of the not-as-busy servers for a few levels with an alt. You might be surprised at what you find! Best to you. "There goes the neighhboorhood! Hey! All you darn kids! Go on! Get offa my game! |

I'd actually recommend anywhere apart from Antonia Bayle. Over the festive period, I often had to change my plans due to certain zones being insanely laggy, or simply because I don't like to compete with others on spawns. Yes, it's great to have an active population, but it's bloody awful when they all want to occupy the same area! You won't notice this much until you get to the lvl 70+ zones. |

Najena has a good pop. I did a pop compare between najena and ab in november and the pop on Najena was actually higher then ab. So I'd say AB isn't the only server with a good population.

I do, however, know that GayGamer.net formed a guild on Najena and declared it the unofficial gay server a long time ago. That made me chuckle at the time because when I read the headline, I wondered how a computer could have a sexuality. I believe they transferred to Crushbone though. |

I do my comparisons by logging onto each server and counting how many people are actually online. I'm thinking eq2players is probably pretty useless it seems to have issues and it has info from the beginning of time. So I'm not sure how relevent it is when comparing playing character populations. Like I have characters on Antonica Bayle but play on Najena.

Ah, well there you go then. Because Antonia Bayle is a RP server, most people choose to be anon, so you wouldn't have been able to count them. |

So you managed somehow to do a /who covering every variable instantly? Maybe you did a /who in every zone simultaneously instead? Stop talking shit. lol You're grasping at straws here to try and prove something that simply isn't true. I see no point in playing your game any longer. |

Does "/who all *" cover the entire server, or just the zone you are in? I dunno, honestly. "There goes the neighhboorhood! Hey! All you darn kids! Go on! Get offa my game! |

EQ2 only needs two servers anyways...... One Normal and one PVP. The way it is designed it can just clone out zones when they become too populated so I don't understand the need for all the servers. |

So you need to break it up. you do something like /who all 1 10, and again for every group upto /who all 70 79. Since there are two many people at 80 you need to break it down by subgroups. /who all 80 scout for example. I did a test going anonymous and doing a /who all ethion and while it doesn't give any details on me it returns. I will play with these settings some more to make sure it is working. /who is a powerful command.. In VG /who is even better in that you can do /who all 1 10 count and it will just give you the number upto 200 :) however in VG there are no archtypes so doing the level 50 searches requires doing a /who all 50 rogue count, /who all 50 monk count. Quite a bit more tedious. |
