Seems like play.com discounted sale of AoC boxes is a hit. The game climbes like 3 rankings pr day. It's rank 19 today. www.play.com/Games/PC/6-/TopSellers.html If anyone contemplates on buy the game, get over there now, it's only 7.99 pound while it lasts. Certainly better priced than 39.95 $ in most other stores. Edit: Change title to reflect change in Play.com best seller ranking. |

I decided to resub to this game after the crappy launch. I'm glad I did! The game is in way better condition and is a very nice change up from WOW in which I have been playing since launch. I so love the music sound and graphics of AOC. This is where I will stay untill Darkfall releases which I hope turns out to be as good as it sounds. Do try AOC if ya have been thinking about it. I have feeling this game is going to pick up as far as subs and ratings. It is not half as bad as most people on this site claim it to be! (I like it alot!!!) (PC Specs) |

This cracks me up. A glimmer of hope for a game thats dead. You do realise that it only takes into account the Europe side? When AoC is on a top 20 list from Amazon or some other U.S. company then maybe you can hoot and holler about it being 17th. Less than 900 xfire users yesterday, LOL |

This reminds me of that little poll site they linked to that showed AOC as #2. They find any obscure, unknown place and then count anything as a 'sign' LOL. The fact is that on every 'major' site like amazon.com.. AOC isn't listed in the top 100 PC games sales. AOC hasn't been on Amazon's chart since May. |

You are incredibly ignorant about the reality of the situation. AoC is the fifth most purchased MMO on Direct2drive, and the number tenth Game overall. |

Fact of the matter is that there were few mmorpg releases this year and considering the hype surrounding Age of Conan, it should have been number 2 or 3, closely struggling with Warhammer Online. The fact it's number 5 shows how poorly the game is selling at this moment. |

OMG you cracked me up so hard with that doll joke. LOL LOLOLOLOL...Bwahahahaaa!!! My god that was funny. Hey nice poll by the way. Over 14000 people voted for game of the year 2008 and AoC comes in with over 2250 of those votes not bad, but Fallout 3 still PWN AoC again.

Glad to hear that people are happy with AOC and its doing ok for that crowd. I wouldn't worry what anyone on this forum says as it seems full of trolls and proffesional hate mongres. Unfortunately too many on this forum expect every game to launch perfectly and meet their personal standards for what they expect a MMORPG to be. Kind of funny to hear them holler because the said game is buggy, isn't WoW, lacks content they desire, classes stink or unbalanced etc. Seems those people never learn not to pickup a MORPG at launch or to actually read what the games audiance they are targeting. Personally I don't like what AoC is about so I skipped the game (playing War/POtBS), but respect other gamers rights to enjoy a game made for their interests without crying for the devolpers to change the mechanics to fit my game play desires. |

I will say this watching my friend play a couple nights back...they did a simply amazing job on Ymirs pass, If Funcom keeps cranking out content like that the game will be around for a long time. |

I don't know about most people but for me, Xfire causes AoC to crash sometimes when I alt-tab so I don't use it. That and with AoC you need all the free resourses you can get! |

If thats the case than it really looks bad for Funcom. Doesnt matter how many people buy it. What matters is how many people keep playing, and by the looks of it, over 90% quit after less than 3 months. Nice try though. So by your explanation of xfire I guess AoC is the exception to the rule. Even though you can read post after post of deserted servers, AoC is doing just great. Funcom hasnt laid anyone off because the game is doing so well. Where is Baghdad Bob when you need him, lol. One more thing. That stock price also reflects how good Funcom and AoC is doing. Its only droped 95% since its release. |
