From this quote of Tasos: "After PvP is concluded, one can fully loot his fallen opponent. You can take all the loot, mounts, boats, warhulks, cannons, equipment, even towns away from their owner". www.curse.com/articles/darkfall-en-news/372269.aspx
O.K. we've been hearing all along... Full Loot for the win! It's not a big deal because gear is cheap and easy to replace. o.k. sure... I'll buy that.
But a town? I don't think that anyone would say that a town would be cheap or easy to replace. Did I misunderstand something that Tasos said in that quote? How do you loot a town? Take a town over by warfare and siege... yeah, that makes sense. Looting it off the owner? Huh?
Looking for anyone that has an idea what he might mean by that... I'm not getting it at all. |

I doubt he's talking about something like deeds to a town being looted off an owners body. I would think that he is saying when you kill the inhabitants you can take/"loot" their town.
BUT
It is possible that he did mean a town can be looted from an owner but that is something we can't be sure of due to lack of information. All I can say is wait for Jan 22... heh. |

Heh... then log-off your character with the "piece of paper" and then tell your guild to come in an guard you as escort to get to the bank. Viola... you've just gotten a new town! |

If he didn't mean the actual town with all it's buildings... then he said it in a very confusing manner. As he has stated it... it does mean the town itself.

I remember that to destroy 1 building in a town it would be on a 24 hour basis, so if the town is large it would take a long time (days/weeks) to fully wipe it out.
I am sure you could take over a town but it would take a very long time and the owning clan will have plenty of time to regain it back with minimum losses.
This is a pvp full loot game, i'm sure the devs though this through before implementing features |

Hmm... well whatever it is that allows someone to take my town I would put it in the bank >.>.

I doubt this because in the 100% gameplay video when they were invading the town those towers were collapsing left and right. What you said cannot be true unless they recorded that scene over a few days or towers and walls don't follow the 24 hour rule. |

YES... I AGREE! Hopefully, that item will be allowed to be put in the Bank. That is a follow-up question that I wished they had asked. Can every item that can be looted be put into your Bank? Obviously there will be limitations on the amount of items a person can store... but hopefully, there will not be limitations on what kind of items can be stored there. If it can looted from your body... you should be able to place it in your Bank.
With Tasos' statement on the bigger War Ships taking weeks to build with many resources and many people... that would be another item that I'd be very cautious taking out of the Bank.
Obviously there WILL be some items that are going to hurt quite a bit if they are taken from you. It will be interesting to see how the current generation of MMO players adapts to this. |

You conquer a player city through sieging ...he referred to the moment the fight is over and the city owner of the defeated city has fallen to the invaders ...AFTER the whole procedure ..declare attack..sieging...winning... -----MY-TERMS-OF-USE-------------------------------------------------- "There was suppression of speech and all kinds of things between disturbing and fascistic." He means when you go on a adventure you put the whole town in your back pack with all npc's and when your killed the one who loot your corpse have a complete town with npc's to place somewhere save and live with his clan in it |

On the subject of 'banking' deeds... if that was allowed then everyone would just bank them and never have to worry about losing any town buildings in the event of a siege. Kind of defeats the purpose of being able to capture them as described. If a building is constructed and usable it really shouldn't be bankable. The only time it should be bankable is when you have an unused deed. Will it be painful to lose, oh i bet. But isn't that why we want to play darkfall? Because it has some sting to it? You can loot deeds to things
But you would have to be a reaaaaal idiot to be carrying a deed around and not have it in the bank |

I as far as I know that only applies if you are not at war with that particular group / guild. If a guild declares war on you, which you cannot refuse to accept, they can destroy all of your buildings. However their city also become vulnerable if they do this. There might be some kind time window you can set though to prevent 3am city demolition, have to wait and see. |

You're reading too much into it. He just meant that everything is up for grabs - nothing you own is safe unless it's in a bank. Towns can be 'looted' from their owners, by sieging it and attacking the clan stone. There are no figurines that summon towns. |

They probably won't aside from the people actually playing Darkfall....Darkfall will probably only be a niche game, not a revolution in the industry. Thank God, it'll sit for the typical 18-24 month life-cycle all niche games seem to run, then it will close.

I'm assuming he means the deed to a town. Perhaps a player must travel to the location where he wishes to place the town during which time he is vulnerable, once the deed is used up you gotta take the town ye olde fashioned way. Although a deed may only have a monetary value and the resources to build a town are entirely separate. O_o o_O |
