OP, I'm glad you enjoy SWG...i did for a time as well.

Does SWG get new players? I would assume so, SoE doesn't reveal numbers so the number of new players SWG receive per month only they know.

Is SWG dead? No....E&B is a dead MMO, SWG is not.

I guess the big question is that if SWG is as populated as some folks say, then why the server merges?  why such a secret on the number of players?

We'll see what remains of SWG when Old Republic has been out for a month or so.

Anyway, the game itself is pretty awesome. Makes me feel as if I was a part of the Saga cuz I've been such a fan of the movies.

You know what's funny? Despite the fact I'm a Rebel ( I dont know how to go back to Imperial, anyway.. I just follow wherever my bf goes) I came across Dark Vader the other night cuz they were attacking some town.. so I was like, wow.. look, it's Darth! He was just standing there.. I greeted him and he was like, you better move a long before you get killed. I smiled immensely and stood by him to take a screenshot. I was like, this is fuckin' cool! Haha. Felt like meeting a celebrity or something. I bet you guys thought that was gay, but [shrugs] I don't care. The game is just perfect for me and I logged on right away as soon as I got home after xmas. I really do hope you guys will change your mind and join me. I'd love to have some new friends. See you there!

IGN: Ambiguous (Ent) and Fabuloux Bleu (Jedi) on Bria.

Thats cool that you like it. Alot of people on this board don't like SWG because what SOE had done the game. Mainly the NGE. SOE has a very poor reputation in the MMO industry and its is not getting any better.

Vets tend to get vocal when someone comes in here and lies/misleads people on the game condition.

Alot of the vets also tell people to try the game and see if they like it.

 

Well, all of the mmo companies aren't perfect in every way with their games. SOE isn't the only one. SOE did a fantastic job with the game in overall, tbh. I only find 3 cons about it is that my AT-RT is stuck on another server: Starsider where I first used.. lol. It was later on I found out that Bria was better. Oh well, sacrifices! 2nd con is the armors. 3rd con is the lag. It's not THAT bad but it's a con, whatsoever.

There are alot of bugs in the game also. Some have been there since release. IMHO SOE has about the worse rep out of the current MMO companies. There are several threads on this board that document the history of SWG.

Im certainly interested in a constructive conversation, but when i rinse you, you have nothing to offer back other than lame attempts at humour. Yes, i defend SWG where its appropriate, but it isnt black and white as you state - im simply drawing a conclusion from the evidence given, since you wont comment on it.
