I do miss EQ very much, but out of respect, I dare not go back for fear of me ending up hating it. EQ will always be my all time favorite MMO, but SOE has proven their worth and their greed time and time again. I can't fall prey to their dirty tricks any more. After being a long time supporter of SOE back in the day, even after SWG fiasco, SOE has done nothing but let their customers down.

Even though the Station Pass does look mighty tempting, I'm comfortable where I'm at. Anyhow, good luck to those of you who venture back into EQ, cause it truely is a great game.

Only one I don't agree with is the EQ NGE server.

It will have 2 classes that can spec into "ability trees".

1) Melee with a light and dark spec.  Light spec will be defensive (tank) dark spec will be offensive (melee dps)

2) Caster with light and dark spec.  Light spec will be healer and dark spec will be caster dps.

All melee characters will start with a glowing sword and the ability to buy even glowier swords with station cash.  For a large amount of station cash you can get a double bladed glowing sword.  If you want to dual weild these you will have to sign over your soul in order to afford that much station cash.

They will also have the TCG where you can "win" a space ship so you can go back to Luclin for the extra content.

The first person to spend 1 million dollars will unlock a secret slot and be.. a... beastlord.  (no jedi didn't exist in eq.. remember..)

Haha that's hilarious. I actually thought you were serious also until the third one.

I am usually a SOE fan,but this smells fishy.They say vote on a server type?Something tells me this is a fake ploy to incorporate a RMT server.IDK maybe there is something i am missing here?why on earth with a struggling game,with servers that are less than half of what they need to be,would they add a new one?it just baffles me IDK,has to be some reason,i am leaning towards a money grab of some kind,seems to be their present day strat.

Do not believe for one second when they say the server will be voted on by players lol,yes i am a bigtime pessimist here but oh well,we will see.

More than 2 months of Classic/Kunark would be enough to make my quit, so I will not waste the money to resubscribe. I think alot of people crying for a classic/slow server didn't actually play the game back when those expansions exist.

It is not viable to do this, when most people already know how to level up as fast as possible. I know I'd probably be 50 in under 2 weeks for sure.

So I'll pass :)

Well, I would like to see a Trilogy Server (with model choices), with then the players having the ability to vote in new features from the expansions on a monthly basis, with a NONE OF THESE option in all elections. This way we could avoid the game breakers, while giving returning players a reason to buy the latest expansion, which should keep SOE happy for a while.

But, yeah I know, not gonna happen.

I vote for a server not run by SOE.

Well, they are merging 2 servers in the near future, so I guess this will leave them a extra one to use as they will.

But yeah, I also get the feeling this new one will mysteriously be a 'F2P' 100% Station Cash funded game with a whole raft of new additions to the shop taken from the existing game.

Funny that.
