2. I sincerly hope that DFO is everything you hope it is. I hope that its so much of what you want that you go and scream it from the rooftops (( well at least that you stick your head out of your basement aprtment at your  parents house.))I also sincerly hope that you tell every PVP oriented person that you can find about  this game and that they go there and stay forever. The less insecure rejects  who have to validate themselves by having a computerized avatar destroy someone elses computerized avatar, and then get thier  jollies by "humiliating" these other  computerized  avatar's,  runing around scoffing at people  who play for a social game to relax and enjoy, the better IMHO.  I sincerly hope that everyone that is that much of a  Fanboi or what have you gets the  help that they need at some point in thier lives so that eventually they can become constructive members of society instead  of lurking on the edge  of  becoming the next son of sam.

Anyways as always these are  my opinions and if I offended you  .... Good Im glad that something besides trivial video game violence has managed to sink through your almost non existant sene of self. Perhaps there  is hope for you one day but I fear that that day is verry far off.

1.  If you think that the power of the written word has no effect on the mind of a human being I am sure there are numerous people through out history that would beg to differ.  It is the written or spoken word that has caused more wars and loss of human life because of them than almost any other event.  Pick up a history book and read it sometime and trace the events of a war back to it's origin.  Why did the Romans kill Caesar?  Because of what he "said" in the form of the laws that he passed that threatened the rich and elite.  Why was Jesus of Nazareth crucified?  Because of what he said.  The list is quite long of people that have made others go "emo" even to the extent that they have killed them.  I am not in the same league as Caesar or Jesus but don't tell me that people don't get emotional from what they hear or read.  That's just ignorant.

2.  You must think that all gamers are "insecure rejects" as you put it.  As it turns out, most people that play mmo's are highly intelligent and productive members of society.  As far as us humiliating the gamer that is trying to play for relaxation...that is the reason we all play in some form or another.  What is relaxing and stress relieving for you does not have to be what is so for the next person.  Sounds to me that you have been pk'd in game one too many times and are quite "emo" about it.  Also, I am 41 years old, my wife and I own our own home, and while I have been disabled for 3 years now, I am reasonably sure that I was a productive member of society long before you were.  Of course this is my opinion and can't be proven.  I only know what I have done and not what you have done.

As you say these also are only my opinions and in like manner if I have offended you...Good...because as I stated...I do enjoy making people go "emo"

grow up, we are NOT all trolls who have something to say other than praise and glory for DF, most just don't feel like being hosed yet again, or are very wary of a game with such a shady past.

Why is it that the blind faith posters always have to misuse derogatory words like flaming and trolls.  Probably because they have doubts and can't handle the criticism. 

Who knows how good Darkfall can be, but some of you are setting yourself up for a big disappointment.   Remember this is a small shop indy developer.  Better to hope they just put out a playable game that will get better over time than to expect some of the ridiculous expectations that some of you have posted.

I wouldn't worry mate, the chance of it actually being released on your birthday are somewhere between slim and none.

Well my take on this whole issue is both camps are just as guilty of labeling people unjustly. The so called trolls label anyone that doesn't try to spin everything in a negative way as a fanboy. The so called fanboys label anyone as a troll that doesn't try to spin everything in a positive way. Both sides are equally guilty on this one. I have been labeled as both a fanboy by some and a troll by others simply because I call things as I personally see them. I have never once claimed that this game is going to be the greatest thing ever or that it is going to beat WOW or anything else along those lines as it would be ignorant to do so. Neither have I once said this game is not going to launch or fail for any reason as this is an ignorant stance as well. The only thing I've really said on a regular basis is we don't know either way as of yet so only time will tell.

Both the so called fanboys and the so called trolls like to point the finger of blame at the other camp but they are equally guilty of the same exact things. I for one will wait until I can actually play the game before I pass judgment on it. Will it be fun? Will it suck? I just don't know that yet but I will fully admit that I'm dieing to find out! I guess I would say that I'm "optimistically skeptical".

Aion fanboys, would you quit mentioning the game on these forums? All you're doing is attracting unwanted attention from people we don't want attention from!!

And by that I mean people who simply don't like the style and will assume anything to make themselves feel better. Kinda like the trolls who assume too much of Darkfall and want to see it fail. Heh, it's relative.

I guess what I'm saying is go back to your pitiful virtual worlds where you are safe because of your uber gear which CAN'T be stolen (waaa mommy he stole my +9 sword of noobness!) and where you can't be looted when you die (waaaa what do you mean I can loose all my stuff if I die...that would never happen in real life (lol) and where there are no TRUE repercussions to ANY of your negative actions ( but the guards kill me if I go red waaa).  So please, and I can only speak for myself on this, don't come to Dark Fall if you truely hate it...because to my understanding each server world will only hold 10,000 max continuous capacity and if you haters don't come then those of us who REALLY APPRECIATE ALL THE HARD WORK OF A NEW SMALL COMPANY striving to make a good game world where you don't ALWAYS WIN just because you bought the best Cash Shop gear or just because you have a number beside your name that is 20 levels higher than ours, then there will be more room for us...the people who are willing to make the right trade offs for A GOOD GAME. 

Someone, maybe more than one, said it best in a previous post and I agree.  I don't care if the game doesn't have "polished" graphics.  I would gladly trade AAA quality graphics for just decent graphics and AAA quality content and game play.  And if Dark Fall has just half of what they have promised when it's released, it will still be better than 99.9% of the crap mmo's that have sadly become the norm today.

you lost me at "us fanbois and you trolls".  unless you own stock in the company making darkfall, or you're a darkfall employee; then there is no us/them.

it's threads like this one, on this forum, and really, on pretty much every forum where darkfall fanbois spend their time trolling and talking up DK like it's some bizarre blue-nike-wearing cult... that make me want to hate the game.

unless you're currently playing a game like UO, which already has a lot of the supposed darkfall features; then, your comments about graphics don't matter are quite hollow and don't hold water in the slightest.

as for losing goodies... some of us have been playing eve for quite some time.  it's already got a lot of the stuff darkfall boasts about having (and has had these elements in play for a long, long time).

so, whatever.  keep spreading the cult and hate from yourself.
