Originally posted by Coloader Errrr, by your own words, you are a vet. So perhaps you should avoid stereotyping SWG Vets. And actually, most of the "vets" are no longer around. So, how's that Hoth expansion eh? And that is why... Conservatives' pessimism is conducive to their happiness in three ways. First, they are rarely surprised -- they are right more often than not about the course of events. Second, when they are wrong they are happy to be so. Third, because pessimistic conservatives put not their faith in princes -- government -- they accept that happiness is a function of fending for oneself. They believe that happiness is an activity -- it is inseparable from the pursuit of happiness. |

That is good to read of. I wonder why there are so few postings about it. And that is why... Conservatives' pessimism is conducive to their happiness in three ways. Ive been playing since 2003 , left the game with NGE and jolined mmorpg to blame the game at pleasure but... know something? The game now is amazing good. Im pretty old to be the mother of many of you , maybe SOE screwed the game at 2005 but with the comunity help , nowdays is FUN , much more than others Ive played ... (couldnt resist even the 1st month of WAR left in 3 weeks) I used to be acrying vet ,but learned to play and guys ..I love SWG. |

Same here. Left with the NGE, came back after 8 months or so, the game was still crap, but I could at least roleplay. At present moment the game is fun, and quite balanced. I still can't believe they pushed NGE to live the way they did, and I still feel betrayed for that, but I have to admit that the game is now good and good fun, and you can do tons of different things. This new dev team has done an amazing job during the last year and a half. Tsotha-Lanti |

Is sad but this site is well known for be the home of the lamer who talks about a game didnt play since 2004. Is one of the reasons why most the accounts were created at 2005 , when the NGE hits, everybody came here to flame and troll...The sad is some of them still said the same with not even a try of the game. The bad reviews of the self called vets with fairly 2 years of play is hurting , those who were playing for 5 years can be called vets , the others are just oldies. Something tells me that the SWG will survive even the SWTOR hit, we are many who will stayh even in 1 server and SOE is known for not close their games. Maybe if many crying oldies come back and try a serious re-learning we can get a new expansion and re-launch of the game. Come on guys i did it..., you will realize this game is the most mature-comunity based of all out there. With the help of the oldies and the vets we can inprove the game and be great again. Your friends left just because you left , they didnt come back because you were not there... Do a try , will not be a waste of time , there is a 14 days trial and a returning vet program. But be serious dont expect to find the same game u left in 2004 , this game is new. And definitivly is not the screwing 2005 NGE. Think about a SWG2. |

Nobody is begging for anyone to come to play , just asking please stop talking about something dont know about or over experiences from years (3!) ago and try the game nowdays. The bad reviews based on past memories and fast talk about things that are not true anylonger is damaging the real game population. Ive read nonsenses about 5k real players and game shutdowns from pissed guys who played in 2004 and is very anyoning. We dont want all those mmorpg trolls back, we want them happy at the EMU, we want back the good players who think the game is still the broken NGE they left. |

If the game was good more people would be playing and fewer people would be posting on boards like this telling people how good the game is. Most MMO advertising is by word of mouth. The word is that SWG still sucks. |

Ok, did you happen the read the part where I said I played from shortly after launch up UNTIL THIS PAST SUMMER? That's nearly 5 straight years. So yeah, I do know what I'm talking about. The game is still crap. Maybe not as bad as November 15th 2005, but it's still terrible and not nearly as fun as it was pre nge. Most people here know this and are aware of it, hence the reason why we don't play it. |
