Of course they didn't expect that, they knew what they were doing.

Though I have to wonder what would have happened if the cake maker had just put their first names on the cake, rather than their entire names...as that's the normal practice with cake decorating anyway

Some people should have "STUPID" tatooed on to their foreheads so everyone can see just what kind of wankers they are and this kids parents should be first in line. Hopefully their stupidity won't be handed down to this poor kid and he will have the sense his parents didn't have and change his name.

I think your first remark is most likely true. This kid won't understand why people look at him funny or tease him until he's 10 or 12 and by then the damage has been done. I was thinking that when he reached adulthood he would either have his name changed or join the Aryan Brotherhood...one or the other.

I think that this child should be given to people who are much more deserving of a child than these bonehead parents are. There are so many couples out there that would love to have a child like this one and can't. It's not really fair to be honest. 

Unfortunatly summary executions are frowned on in Holland and the rest of the Western world so I don't think that will happen either.

What is the big deal, if I wanted a birthday cake made for someone named John Wayne Gacey I would expect them to make it, why get so huffy? Money is money who cares what people want written on their cakes?

Hmm lets see, possibly because the cake decorator might be older and may remember the history of their country. Not only did the cake decorator know the names of which these belonged to in history but it also probably rememberd them of the 4 or 5 years occupation the Nazis had on Holland and the capital, of which over that time a couple hundred thousand died. Holland had close to 300k dead from the Germans taking over Holland.

You can be ignorant but at least think about what your saying next time and be ignorant in a more lightening way.

I think the parents love the fact that the store would not put the name on the cake.  They got exactly what they wanted .....Attention.   The only way these parents could get the attention they so desperately wanted was through their kids.  Well congratulations the spotlight is on you, everyone in your city, country, and the entire world is reading, talking, thinking, posting, and blogging about you.  I am sure this will not be the last time you hear from them.

Oh I get it I just think they are acting a little stupid about it, I wouldn't deny people business because I found their kids name distasteful and the cake decorator is being very unprofessional.  And if they won't make a cake because it says Adolf Hitler on it I think that they are also being immature.  Who cares about the history of their country the kid had nothing to do with it, he just happens to be named after a nefarious character as are the other children, but it seems the cake decorators took it personally.

For whatever reason they decided to name the kids that, I don't think there is so much a problem with the children's stupid names but more how negatively some people react towards them.

It seems the people who are offended by the children's names have quite a bit of issues themselves.

To be honest I would do what the grocery store did. If your an idiot enough to name your child after a mad man who has hand in thousands of lives, I'm sure you can see why I don't make a cake for your dumbarse. I'll make a HAPPY BIRTHDAY for the kid, or i'll give you a blank cake and some icing and you can do it yourslef.

I mean think about it, even if it's for the kid it's sick. can you imagine how many ppl will see that cake even going though the checkout would probabily not even let them in the store again or they might get that ass beat. It's the concept of the whole thing.

You're obviously not a student of history or you wouldn't saying the things you are saying. I don't think you understand just how traumatic WW2 was to the people of Europe....and still is to this day. My parents are from Europe and they lived through the war. They told me how Hitler launched buzz-bombs and V2's at Northern Ireland because it had one of the largest shipyards in the UK. They told me about how food, and fuel was rationed because most of it was going to the war effort. And that, my young friend, was just the tip of the iceberg. Those people who were victims of Hitler and lucky enough to survive were scared for life. The people who lived on the Continent were under a rain of Allied bombs and were bombed back to the Stone Age. Those who had whole families and their way of life destroyed because Hitler want to rule the world. And THAT is the reason people are STILL upset with boneheads like this kids parents. You are the one with the issues.You are the one who needs to open his eyes and see this for slap in the face that this is. Not those who are offended because two people don't use the sense that God gave them.

I was disgusted when I read the name of Adolf, but I was at least giving the parents a little bit of the benifit of the doubt. But then their other children's names are things like Aryan Nation? This is absolutely disgusting. All I can say is this is someone who better hope never meets me face to face.

Additionally, these people should be so happy that they live in America. If they lived in Germany and they named their kids things like that, they would be charged, tried, and convicted. And then they'd be in prison, and wouldn't get to raise their kids.

Personally I don't care how many europeans died because of Hitler, the kid is not Hitler just named after him for some utterly contrived reason.  And the family didn't commit genocide either, maybe they are Neo Nazis, doesn't matter it is a simple exchange of money and goods, no reason to let your personal opinion of Hilter play into it.

And that is why I say they have issues, not being able to seperate the conotations of the name Hitler from a simple cake request.

No matter what you think of Hitler, it happened in the past, and there is no reason to get so offended over people naming their children after Nazis, because if they did it to offend people then you are doing what they want you to, but either way it really isn't anybodies business.

Another things some have missed that it isn't in Holland but it's in the US >
