Well I'm pretty skeptical about this game. It promisses a lot and is gonna try to be a Quake MMO for hard core PvP. Based on recent releases of games that have disappointed I'm seeing a common tactic in games. No open beta and no NDA dropping till the day the game is released or an Open beta that is very controlled and limited. So from the people in the know, when does the NDA drop and When is open beta? I did some searching on the net and couldn't find a lot of beta leaked info which makes me concerned that the game is running a pretty small closed beta. Another area for concern.

There is a good chance there won't be an open beta. They are confident that they have fully tested the game and that open beta is unecessary. The only reason that there is the closed beta in the first place is to test different hardware specs utilized by gamers. Looking for a new game to play |

I would just called Tasos' GF or cousin or best friend or neighbour or even the "Hall 2000" as they are the ONLY ones currently testing the game, so besides "srcipted" previews from the "Inn crowd" you won't find anyting new except delay and delay and delay and yet another delay and so on...............I will believe it when I see it................. Its worse to actually think about doing something then actually doing it!!! |

Its a design decision they moved away from ages ago.

No AI in the world will find the exploits, bugs, or anything like confusion in text or usability of systems. None. You can only get that with thousands of players trying to find anything wrong, by intention or accident.
The only thing AI could potential do is stress connections and server load, this is not what an open beta is for, and open beta, or a beta for that matter is for what I said into he first line. I have no faith this game will be any sort of ready for the real world live situation other than the severs may not crash. They have essentially created this game in a vacuum.

haha, that just cracks me up. I was getting bored coming to these boreds waiting for DF to release, but this is keeping me entertained. Well, it was funny till you edited the last part. Just not funny anymore |

And wave your release '08 flag all you want, but your grasping for straws if you're saying delaying the game a month is a cut feature. Not to mention, only about 30% of the community (based on the forum poll) believed it would release in 08
