I was thinking of going back to the game, but I am not sure if I should or not. It is because that champion online is coming out in spring of 2009 and it looks good, but I was still going to stick with coh and cov. The only thing is that is if anyone will still be playing COH and COV after CO comes out? If no one was going to stick with COH and COV, even after CO comes out, then I was going to wait for CO and not play COH. |

Far as I have heard is that the general consesus is that CO sounds cool. But, the graphics look horrible and the gameplay looks like a superhero WoW. Though a lot of people may try it, I doubt most will stick with it for long. |

could we please get correspondent writers and moderators, on the eve forum at mmorpg.com, who are well-versed on eve-online and aren't just passersby pushing buttons? pretty please? |

Damian brings up some good questions. Also: You said you've thought about "coming back" - that implies you've already purchased a box. If you're looking for something to play until CO comes out, why not just reactivate you CoX account?
I plan on staying with CoX. Don't know if I'll try CO or not. ------------- |

I myself am curious about Champions but I agree that the graphics thus far look horrible, and I've heard unfavorable comparisons about the game mechanics. Nonetheless many CoX players will try it, I am sure. So for a bit, maybe that first month that Champions comes out, CoX may appear quiet. But in anticipation of such circumstances, NCSoft is very good at throwing out another trick from that impressive bottomless bag of theirs, so we could expect anything from a Double XP weekend to a Rikti Invasion, to a new expansion to be released during that time. In which case, far fewer players will stray. City of Heroes has been going strong for 4 1/2 years, and the only serious competition it ever faced was from its own spinoff. The winter after Villains was released, Heroes really struggled. But like Good vs Evil everywhere, we prevailed. =) |

a new expansion would be great. hopefully, it WOULD include a third faction (rogue operatives/mercenaries), and, ideally, i would hope that faction could do both hero and villain content (at least to some extent) and maybe even their area would be accessible to all factions (lord knows red-side could use some fresh low level content).
who knows, if/when they ever put the mission creator live (combined with the base changes they have yet to release)... maybe we'll get a crapton of new content? could we please get correspondent writers and moderators, on the eve forum at mmorpg.com, who are well-versed on eve-online and aren't just passersby pushing buttons? pretty please? |
