Let me first start by saying that I've generally enjoyed WAR, but I'm highly disappointed in the crap that Mythic is starting to pull to hide their mistakes (similar to Funcom). In the WarhammerAlliance forums, any negative topic is now being shutdown and any excuse in the book is being used. People can't say things like "The Public Quest contribution system is broken" without the thread getting locked. You'll typically get a reply like "you aren't a developer and you don't know how hard it is to create a perfect game". WTF? I thought these guys wanted feedback to help IMPROVE the game, not to pull a Funcom and bury it to appear like all is well. This is the kind of crap that makes me want to go elsewhere. I like WAR, but not too happy with Mythic. |

The people there love to be treaten like milkcows and mythic enjoys it. the last few videos were you see Mythic developers creaming each other with pie prooves that. It also prooves that mythic seems to be a bunch of 40 year old children. i cant imagine that these guys will ever get WH out of the swamps again..

Load of Rubbish people post negative things all the time..but if you post Flaming Bags of dog poo threads you do get removed. They don't tolerate flaming of any sort. If you can't voice your negativity without alot of flaming bags of poo then they pretty much don't want you there. threads similiar to your "example" of removed posts which are active without any forum moderation rampaging On The hate for Ironbreaker Punting Making Meaningful RvR should of been easy
alright enough evidence given that your full of fail OP. |

There are already posts about the contribution system in that forum that arent locked. Most people are satisfied with using the existing threads to talk about it. The problem is that one thread talking about a problem isn't enough for a troll. They want the entire forum filled with nothing but the same troll threads, like mmorpg.com. Their agenda is not to fix problems by bringing them to peoples attention, but to cause them by making people think the problems are bigger than they are. Their goal is to drive people away from the game by misrepresenting it. Well sorry buster but not going to happen. But thats all irrelevent - as someone above said, WHA is not managed by Mythic so they can hardly take blame. They are managed by gamers that take a stronger stance against trolling than mmorpg does. OP I guess just doesn't fit into the constructive poster mold that they want on their site, I guess. Too bad. Waiting for: A skill-based MMO with Freedom and Consequence. |

Mythic passed on forums out of fear for trolling techniques like Greyhooff demontrates every day on the Wow forums. The only thing that counts is the game. People like Greyhoof think you can push games by viral marketing. Apparently it doesn't work.
Mythic never HAD official forums.. even for DAoC. One of their reasons has always been the cost and manpower it takes to maintain official forums. I'd rather see any company keep as many dollars and hands on maintaining/developing the game instead of babysitting.

I wouldn't claim Mythic is perfect, but comparing it to Funcom?!? They're not 1/10th as bad. |

I love reading Zorndorf troll the hatred. Sorry Funcom failed for flat out lying to everyone somethign that was apparent to anyone with a few brain cells activitly working. Mythic never lied to anyone. Did they over hype? Sure but who doesn't these days. Did they make some miscalculations of what the servers would run like with people other than testers? Hell yes. Testers were guided through the game so they could make sure things worked and got to know how the game was intended to be played. A huge mistake yes but a lie? A scam? A scham that needed to be covered up like Funcom?? No. Sorry No one other than Sony has a lower reputation than Funcom. Funcom lied and lied and lied. They ruined their own game by basically epeening themselves to death. They should of been working on their game and pushed back its release date since they HAD the funs to do so instead of jerking each other off and proclaiming the greatest game on earth. Mythic atleast communicates activitly with its community and has acknowledged some of the design decisions or short comings. THey also from day one stated they were NOT after WoW's throne that niggling pesky hype mechanic was started by over zealous fanbois and haters making up crap. |

Me think you take your dream for reality. Well in real life, mister, that forum is one of the best place to get info on the game. Plus, mythic IS actually doing an official forum. Get some help next time, you need some trolling lesson from TheHavoc. |

WoW is going to go into freefall quite soon, once people get bored at 80, which will take only a couple of weeks After that, Warhammer will dominate as the only mass-market MMO with some challenge and proper rewards for skilled PVPers WoW had its time, it's now just an old, boring game with nothing new and a skill curve made for noobs and housewives - and it will be over soon :) In any case, the thread was about Warhammer Alliance Forums - which is a fan forum, and nothing to do with Mythic. It's like blaming Mythic for the moderation on MMORPG.com or something

Having posted on WHA for some time now, I've yet to see the mods close any thread with constructive and valid criticism of either Mythic, GOA or WAR itself. They've closed a lot of useless garbage posts, though, which is the only reason WHA still has any point to it. I'm really glad Mythic is making official forums so all the useless crap will be going there in the future, leaving the remaining WHA members to focus on actually interesting stuff. Since the game was released, there's been a constant stream of newcomers constantly spamming the forums with pure garbage and nonsense, a true excercise in idiocy. In short it's slowly turning into the World of WarCraft forums, and my hope is that the official WAR forums will be adopting this interesting trait, leaving WHA closer to what it was before OB and launch. - vigilo confido - |

I don't think Mythic is anywhere close to Funcom in the area of screw ups. We're into an era of perfection. If the game isn't 100% perfect, the game and the company get slagged all over the internet. Give the game time, it will be just like LotRO in regards to fiery opinions. Once bigger games come out and people turn their attentions to the next big thing, they'll relax. You never know, though. |

Side note, on X-fire WAR is down to 13,000 hours while AoC is still around 4000. As expected WAR was around 45000 at launch but then so was AoC. With a huge amount of big titles coming out in 2009 not to mention DF, Earthrise and Jumpgate along with Spellborn I can seriously see WAR ending up around 4000 alongside AoC. So to the OP you are probably not far off.
