I'd like too know what ppl think about MMORPG games that come out in other areas before it comes out in North America. Do North Americans suffer when we don't all start at the same time. I know in Final Fantasy when North America started at level 1 in 2003... Japan had already been playing for a year and some had maxed out in levels but most were at least level 50 and experianced. If it opens in North America do we at least get our own server so we all start at the same time or will join the french and germans after they have already played for a while.

Have you done any research of your own? Never mind, after reading your post it is apparent you did not. NA is Acclaim, EU is Frogster. NA and EU are seperate publishers, seperate servers, IP blocked. So you figure it out from there. |

But Acclaim is alos UK, I would say UK residents are the ones most screwed. Personally I think all IP-blocking is incredibly stupid. I have played many MMOs with friends from both the UK and the US, but in this game I, as a swede, am limited to Scandinavia and the Benelux countries for friends to play with. |

Look on the bright side, game will be out for about a month in EU=bugs and performance issues will be found and squashed (hopefully) so it will be a more polished product once it releases in other regions :) |

FYI, the only IP blocking is for account creation...not actually logging on to the servers. So...it's actually wicked easy to play on the EU servers. ______________ |

IP blocking is just retarded (im from the uk fyi) Ive got alot of US friends on the net that cant play on the same servers as me due to IP blocking, Publishers claim it reduces stress on servers and stops bots but its all total horse s**t, MMO's are becoming less MMO and more racial segregation! And you know what i hate being from the UK cuz i get slammed in some EU server with foreign speaking t**ts that cant even speak english! (yes i have a few issues). |

you can beat TCOS IP block easily, i'm pretty sure the posts about beating the registration system are on the first page still; there's no block on the client itself. but yeah, IP block is dumb sometimes. as someone who played post-f2p Shadowbane, though, there are some pretty "different" opinions on it. having played with some asian guilds on my server, i can say that even if FFXI (or whatever game) released simultaneously with international servers, they would be level 50 before you were even in the mid teens anyway. playstyle is radically different- so much so that the government regulates these games in a whole other way over there { Mod Edit } |

1640 mb of 3101.4mb # horrible d/l sites then finally i woke up and just used there torrent d/l . None of the d/l sites are faster tha n40kb/sec,the torrent is d/l at 400-500 kb/s fluctuates a lot. I should be giving this puppy a whirl in about 3 hours i guess.I have some mediocre high hopes for this game, i hope i am not dissappointed.Better yet i hope it is in english lmao. I know that NA is Acclaim and i never mentioned that i coudlnt not join the EU version illegally by changing my proxy ect... that is not the point of this threat... wow ..... how old are you?? Well you kinda killed this thread... i was going for ARE NORTH AMERICANS SUFFERING WHEN THEY DONT GET TOO PLAY WITH OTHER COUNTRIES AND ARE THEY SUFFERING WHEN THE GAMES DONT COME OUT TILL AFTE R OTHER COUNTRIES... i hope that was a little clearer having it all in Caps... as you can see NOTHING about ip blocking and how too hack into servers and cheat the systems ect.... |

Think the beta for them was supposed to start a week or two ago n there has been no word. So who knows if NA will even see this game anytime soon.

I think the big thing that most NA people have been complaining about is the fact that we have to go through a Closed Beta phase and it has been delayed now.
With that said I can wait...... I did CB about a year ago and it is a great game! Love sandbox style mmo games? Love Mechs? Then check out http://www.perpetuum-online.com |

Well copeland there isnt actually... Yes they have ip blocker... so change your ip too say your from France or Germany (tried that still wont work) ok change the whole proxy (Oh... that didnt work either) yes you can download the client... yes thats an easy workaround... but acutally registering and logging on.... thats a completely different story and no its not easy. |

took me 1 minute to create an account, 30 seconds to verify my e-mail, 90 minutes to download the game, 2 minutes to install, 10 minutes to customize a warrior and voila.. i didn't find anything difficult about the process. |
