Yeah, I downloaded Aion today (6.8) GB with an 8.07 folder size after install. I bought a 900 hour card and made my Aion account. I was surpised to find 25 servers to connect to right away, but some of them are full! This game is one of the best MMORPG games I have ever played. It kind of reminds me of ROSE online in certain areas and graphics. The gameplay is completely solid and for some reason doing quest after quest killing mob after mob I can not stop playing the game and 7 hours later I am still not bored =) I have some photos from days back I forgot about and I will put in links below via photobucket for those who want to see some photos. So, I guess the game truly begins are level 9 yeah I played other games that do that. You start out in this area where they will be plenty of quests for you to do and plenty of monsters level 1 to 9. The more quests you did the more you learned about your past. Once you hit level 9 you get to pick what you want to be like the warrior could be a gladiator or a templar the whole experience was cool since my level 9 quest I did go back to the abyss and learn about what happened. After you finish your quest thats when you get your wings and the game begins you can teleport just about anywhere you want now and be free to go to whole new locations and start the quest process again. I wanted to know what this game was like and asking people about it really did not seem to help me out with my curiosity. Right now th is game deserves a higher hype than 8.39, but I believe it will go up after the release to other areas. Aion is very addictive, beautiful, smooth gameplay, and awesome audio that matches every location.
Here are some lower level photos http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h158/DeathNeedle/Aion0009.jpg
I will upload more photos of where I currently am in the level 35+ areas.

There is only one small problem. I don't understand Korean!!!! Oh well, I'll stick to TCoS for now, and wait for the EU release in March/April. |

I'm in the same boat, would like to give the game a go, but my past experience with Asian MMO's is they translate them poorly to the extent you get sentences that make no sense (eg. Sword of the new world when it was first released.) Anyway heres to hopeing Aion gets it right.

Ok I am just playing to learn something that I didnt know about the game before. I have not had one problem with the language. Map reading is like any other game, click on your enemy use a skill, cut scene quests pretty basic to understand what you have to do in any language. I have a guild playing this also so its not like I am alone we are just getting ready for the English versions so we know things we did not know before. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I think I read somewhere that the costs for this game were +/- 300 million dollars (I'll have to dig this up later...) or something and this being NCSoft's baby, just like Lineage I expect nothing less than stellar. |

Stellar huh I like that =) -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Come on, you can't truly judge the game until you at least reach max level. Check the WAR forum 2 months back, were a lot people saying the same thing until they hit Tier 3, then they posted a whine post and quited. All games are funny the first week. If you can say the same thing at maximum level then we are talking. What worries me though is that you seems to be able to do quest without even understand the language???? Are they that easy or are you just farming mobs? |
