I totally forgot about the balancing debacle patch 1.06 brought.

*Witch Elves are left unharmed and still able to use the idiotic critting exploit and thus till OP.

*Sertain healers (like AM) have been nerfed so bad, that now even less people want to play a healer or started rerolling a different class now.

Instead they just nerf the classes that needed nerfing (BW, Sorc, WE damage) to bring them in line with the rest, they buffed all other damage more or less, so people are more bussy clicking the rezz button and walking back, then actually playing the game!

Balancing is a delicate issue and nerfs and buffs to classes will always be done.

But what Mythic did wasn't any delicate at all. And when hardly anyone wants to play a healing class anymore, then you've got a serious problem.

Cheers

I really, realllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllly didn;t want it to come to this because I quit the other games I was playing to devote all my playing glory (LOL WTF) to warhammer but I must say, out of returnning to Eve, EQ2, and WoW, I see NO reason to continue warhammer.  EA or Mytic created subpar, I dont know which one but its obvious the impact is there

The problem is that the concequences of patch 1.06 become only really noticable in end T3 and T4.

I just rerolled my Knight (as it was always supposed to be my main) and in T1 and T2 these changes aren't really noticable yet.

But with my WL I could clearly notice it in T3 how fast you die now and it's just not fun anymore at this time.

Especially that healers now need to focus on single targets to heal as HoT's are crap now, you can forget being healed basically and the number of people dropping like flies so fast. You can forget getting any rezz anymore either.

So I really hope Mythic wakes up sooner then later and realizes what they have done.

Or I will drop the towel in the ring as well and give up.

How can you blame Mytic for healer not healing you? blame the stupid healers!

I play a RP and I have no problem keeping my pet groupmembers alive at all, as long as they stay with me and defend my hairy little as as they should.

If you haven't seen patch 1.06 and the notes for 1.1, do it, its refreshing. I am very surprised that EA decided to stick with it and keep funding the big and pricy team working on the game. If you have read any of my posts on this forum before then you know that I didn't buy this game because it was an unfinished piece of crap with a good core.

It seems like 1.1 will bring the game to the state it should have been at launch. (better late than never) :)

I think its a good thing that a company finally decided to keep playing instead of running in fear (Funcom). We really need more competition in the MMO sector and this can only bring good things for the gamers. We all benefit from this

I sincerely hope that their sales pick up after this, Mythic deserves it, they have proven that they can listen to the community and work on what is truly wrong with the game to make it a more enjoyable experience. If they keep this up I have no doubt that this could be the best MMO out there and I'm only a few good patches away from buying it :)

Good work Mythic (Screw GOA)

I waited for war for close to 4 years and only ended up playing for 3 weeks. The game was nothing like they marketed it to be, they rushed the game out which they said they would never do. I am a huge warhammer fan but the version of the warhammer world EA made makes me sick. I have never in a game seen such dull environments and gameplay. i wanted this game to be great but its horrible, to put it bluntly.

I find it kind of funny that there are so many people on this forum that have already said "screw this game, it sucks" and yet they stick around.

I have a reason to stay, I'm keeping in touch to see if it improves in the hopes that it will eventually be at my level of quality. But it seems a lot of people here just want to whine, even 2 months after release. It doesn't make for very interesting discussions, its like talking to a couple of kids that just goes LALALA I can't hear you!

Haven't you guys learned the meaning of "letting go"?

You know that the game has problems when, when a patch is released people _immediately_ start looking forward and discussing the next patch, which is exactly what seems to have happened here. As someone has said here already you cannot fix WAR without redesigning the core elements of it, so I am willing to bet that as soon as 1.1 hits the servers, we all be discussing the new awesome 1.11 patch. :P

Do you have any idea how far away the taste of apples is from the taste of oranges? Apart from the fact that they both are round, they are nowhere *near* similar.

this argument is mentally retarded and should just end cuz it has nothing to do with anything. the client has steadily gotten better for me so idk what pos computer or internet some of you have but its not always the developers fault for the game crashing etc.

We have WoW with keep sieges. Some people like that. Personally, I thought they could at least do as well as they did with DAoC.

Wow with keep sieges? You seem to be well educated.

I totally agree with you. Mythic can patch this game all they like but they would have to completely redesign it to turn it into a good game.

I agree I haven't seen anythign addressing the core problems.  This is not even an RvR game.  Just some throw meat on the table and hope there is a brawl type game.  Gets old fast.  And still does that rather poorly because of the poor design such as the way the tiers and lakes are setup

Fill in the blanks and you have the basic structure of posts in this site.

The game is blunt to you, but for me, it's very enjoyable.

Warhammer has solid foundations and now that its population has stabilized, it will slowly grow larger and better. It deserves so, because Mythic has done a great job in patching the game. I'd suggest trying out WAR after 1.1 goes live since various issues that annoyed a lot of gamers have been fixed like UI responsiveness and additional content is being steadily added (new classes and RvR influence rewards).

Mythic means bussiness and mmorpg competition is a marathon not a sprint race. If you want to talk doom and glood please do so after 6 months have passed since release. Till then, keep in mind that after 1.06, server activity increased greatly, even had a couple of full servers!

I too find the game very enjoyable and am very happy with the responsiveness from the dev team.  The game is shaping up nicely and I will continue to play for a long time.   MMO launches are always a little messy and I know... I've played all these at launch - EQ,DAOC,Horizons,WOW,L2,DnL,Mourning (yes mourning), and now WAR.

As far as MMO's go, I think it is the best MMO out there for me.

Did you follow WAR before mythic took over?  Now that would have been a good game.

It's ok for people not to like WAR. Game's not for everyone and with titles like darkfall promising the impossible people's expectations are unrealistic imo.

What is really annoying however is bashing WAR so hard while everyone was oh SO MUCH more forgiving when AoC hit the shelves back when it was buggy as hell and at a much worse state than WAR ever was.

War is shaping up nicely, thats for sure.

I have to admit, I didnt follow war back then and so my knowledge is limited, but it seemed more like another EQ pve grinding/raiding clone where you could play.... halfings! The race with the least impact in Warhammer universe with a wooping 1 unit in special army book.

Good game? I doubt it... but even if it was good, WoW would have pulverized it anyway, so its best that Mythic took over.
