Guild Wars 2 "A full 250 years after the original Guild Wars, massive upheavals, cataclysms, and globe-spanning events have changed the world of Tyria. Human civilization is in decline. Other races are rising up, taking control over large portions of the world; the balance of power has shifted. The dragons have awoken. " blah blah blah.... anyways Anet a keeping very hush hush about this new game i mean frickin SW:OR was just announced and they have screenshots, now its expected to be released or go into beta 2009/10, so another year away and they'll be about 6 players still playing GW. As one of thoose mmorpg that i consider to have somesort of realism (no cartoonie anime shite or WoW style) and with the disapointment in AOC this is really one of the only games ive been looking forward too and i would like to see at least some trailers or sneak peaks into whats going on down there, i live close to seatle so dont make me come down there! this concludes my rant about nothing. chin chin.

The fact that AI is better than most humans in some buids, does not reduce the value of the game. You can find, today, computers that win in chess facing any human, so is chess unbalanced ? does not require skill ? The fact is, GW GVG is tons of fun and offers a good fight where tactics and skill will win your game, not grind or gear.

I'm looking forward to it, since GW was a multi player lobby game, not a true MMORPG, and apparently GW2 will be an actual MMORPG. |

If it has an endless level cap I wont play it. I am a BIG guild wars fan, and I mean BIG Iv been playing it for more than 3 years. However I will NOT play GW2 If it has an endless grind. I don't really care if the stats stop increasing after level 50, or whatever. I really don't care to grind to a endless level. for me Knowing that little number that indicates my level is at the top of the chart the top it can be, makes me happy, I very often look at my character stats in FFXI that I am level 75. It just makes me feel a little bit proud to have reached it. Same goes for all my online games, If there is no max level I will never be able to play this game without feeling out of place or simply have a nagging while I play the entire time. |

I hate it when people say Guild Wars is not an MMORPG. Guild Wars is an online game that is played with a massive amount of online players. Thus it is an MMORPG. You know what the criteria is? It is listed on this site. Therefore it is an MMORPG.

Whatever you want to call it, there is a difference between lobby games, like Diablo and Guild Wars, and the standard MMORPG like EQ, EQ2, VAnguard, WoW, WAR, DAoC, LotRO, AoC, and so on. Some people dont' see any difference between the two, some people prefer one over the other. What terms would you like to use to distungish between the two types of games? I'm happy to use whatever terms you're comfortable with. |

The GW people either have nothing to talk about, or don't want to.Our response should be to move along.Pay attention to companys and games that want our attention....NOW. |

I too am interested in GW 2..from what I know. FACTIONS.....24/7 faction fighting.Great concepts to start with.But...as I said ...they are not ready to talk about the game..so why keep peering into the fog looking for game details when the company is choosing not to reveal any beyond some initial comments. |

Ever go to a large city in Guild Wars during an event and see 100 people standing around? It is an MMO. DIablo II is a lobby game, not Guild Wars. |

Only games with more than 1M players are massively multiplayer, that leaves us with WoW and GW, the others are mORPGs. m = minor. I get your point. |

I just hope they aren't going to be raid-centric (!!!!!), item-centric, level-based and just another wow clone...
But I will keep an eye out as I this is a company who have shown they dare to go down new roads.. ____________________________ |
