Wow, people here are upset that folks are saying 20 hours no sleep is bad?  Are you kidding me?  I had a high paying job once where it was somewhat expected on hard projects that you could go at least 48-72 hours without sleep.  We frequently went 48 hours on no sleep and over a 100 hours on 2 hours of sleep a day.

Life is hard.  If someone collapsed after 20 hours of no sleep (which isn't even an official all-nighter then either they were lying about how long they had actually been playing or there were some other medical complications.  I'm not advocating that people *should* go that long, just that the human body is capable of much more than t hat.

In college I went 4 days without sleep once in order to finish term papers and in my professional career working 20 hour days for 10 days straight was not uncommon.  Should it be that way? Probably not. Is it healthy? Probably not.  Is it required to keep getting a paycheck? Definately. was.

Giving a 2nd read to the article it says he went in to a seizer, this may indicate that he is epileptic, if this is the case then it might be the first sign of this in the kid, because 20 hours of game play is just not going to jack you up that bad, if he is epileptic then he can kiss video games good by, hell no more FPS's if WoW triggers it then he's got it bad :(

i fail to see what your point is here...  considering i spend no more than 3-4 hours a night in a game and more often than not it's not usually the same game for those 3-4 hours..  in fact you'll see that i've spent 474 hours total in CoD4 sinse i bought it on release, thats an average of 2-3 hours a night spent on it going by your 13 months released statement...

Personally, I'd never spend 20+ hours playing a game.

With that said, you'd have to be in pretty bad shape to collapse after 20 hours of just sitting and playing a game.  I mean, seriously, WTF!?  How is that physically draining?  Try running/hiking/cylcling for 20 hours...hell, maybe this kid should get off his ass and walk for 20 minutes.

I agree..they said that he didnt eat much, but that wouldnt be much of a thing unless he's diabetic or something.
