Wow.....
The big news that I was told I can share with the community is that OPEN beta will be FINISHED by the start of December and release will follow soon after. So… stay on your toes. Don't be terrorized! You're more likely to die of a car accident, drowning, fire, or murder! More people die every year from prescription drugs than terrorism LOL! |

and early december. I dont ever recall a quote about release in 08, merely the gamepaly video stating "Coming 2008", which possibly meant beta, considering it was a beta video. Oh, and they said beta would end in early december (quite vague, something that should be expected from Aventurine). I think they will release in Q1 09, though...Aventurine will release a game, whether good or bad, sooner or later. From the MMORPG Italia preview and beta quotes, it will be good too DARKFALL 09! Apparently 08 didn't make it :( Sorros of Forumfall. |

the start of december Is early december. therefore the second statement does not contractdict the previous. the first state has yet to be contradicted or nullified, therefor we have been lied to.
but meh, I'll just remake this thread mid december if you like. |

Tasos already back-pedaled from the start of December to "early December" here - http://forums.darkfallonline.com/showthread.php?t=77544 The start of December says "Dec 1", or maybe the first few days, to me. Early December I see as covering more time, even up to the 15th. As usual, Aventurine prefers the term with the most wiggle room. I dont think we are likely to see the couple weeks of open beta that Aventurine said we would. At this rate, we would be fortunate to see a couple days...unless they do the unthinkable and delay release. I believe they will do another version of unthinkable, and just drop the game on us with minimal public testing. |

Those that say the Dev's never lie or deceive have to start trying out different excuses so that when we go past the date with even the most wiggle room that they can see which excuse has the best chance of flying.
Let's face it... Considering no game has ever released the last week in December that I am aware of... that gives them 3 weeks to hold OPEN Beta and Release the game. Still doable? Oh sure... plenty of time... in fact, not sure what the big rush is.
Two possible scenarios at this point. Release is happening in 2008... with zero (or as close to zero as you can get) public testing (as in OPEN Beta). Release is NOT happening in 2008... the game will be delayed and thoroughly tested and everyone who wants will be given a chance to try the game before they buy it.

Shaar was quoting Tasos from the game conference in Greece which Aventurine hosted. Hell, even Tasos mentioned that date in the videos from the conference as well. Do your homework.

Early December probably means 1st to 10th. Mid December 11th till 20th. Late December 21th to 30th/31st. I'll give Aventurine credit for their word play. They do indeed leave alot up to ones own understanding.
