Engage in space battles, explore the cosmos in search for wealth, set up your own corporation with your friends... Fight for resources against opponents, crush your enemies!

Taikodom Online
http://www.taikodom.com

A Universe in constant expansion: 10 Star Systems, dozens of nodes and stations, more than 50 agents, more than 200 missions and hundreds of different ship designs at your disposal.

Careers
Choose your career from Hotshot, Juggernaut, Scout and Merchant.

Hotshot: Fighter pilot. Hotshots are used to quick action and fast moves. They are always ready to put a target mark on enemies and fire their cannons.

Juggernaut: Bomber pilot. Heavy duty is their duty. Aboard of what you may call a "space war tank", juggernauts carry enough weapons to exterminate any threat on their way.

Scout: Explorer pilot. Scouts are the ones responsible for the expansion of the Human Frontier in space. Counting on ships with advanced sensors and quick response time, they find new spots and enemies where no one else can.

Merchant: Freighter pilot. Merchants move the Universe economy, assuring that the raw material extracted doesn't lack in industry and space markets.

Recommended System Configuration:

Windows XP, 2.0 GHz processor clock speed, 1 GB of RAM, 2 GB of available hard disk space, Geforce 6600, ATI X1500 or higher video adapter, sound card compatible with Direct Sound, broadband internet connection, DirectX 9.0c and latest video drivers.

For this game to work properly, you will need to have java installed on your computer.
This game is free to play, it's in Portuguese and English language, but in their forum I've only seen the portuguese language, if any of you need help with this game post here, because I can translate everything. Portuguese it's my native language.
I hope you all enjoy this game.

Hey is this game like EVE but more easy and forgiving towards the new player?

It's not  a confusing game, just pay attention in the tutorial and always follow the coordinates given to you by the npc and you will be fine.

It seems that they are in maintenance  now, if you can't register or play, try later because it's a good game.

Hmm, considering the name of the game plus the anime look of the ships/planets/and such, I would assume this to be a port of a Japanese game rather than originally Portugese.

Does look interesting though. i'll try it out.

This is not japonese it's from a Brazilian developer, the music in the video it's not from taikodom, that is a user video in youtube, the gameplay is from the game but the music is not.

Look at the artstyle. Looks just like something out of Gundam.

Yes, you're right. And they don;t have any spaceships at all. And there have never been any spaceships of the same design as this game in any Japanese anime cartoon.

Either you need to put on YOUR glasses, or actually watch some Japanese space anime. The whole artstyle is identical to this game.

Anyway, it appears that the game is developed by a Brazilian developer ( which explains the Portugese ), so it's not a port. They just used the Japanese animation style.

You are a funny guy, keep it up.

And no, I don't think that the game looks like jap anime but we could argue page up and page down so why bother?

So what's funny about it being made by a Brazilian developer?

The only difference between a Troll and a Fanboi is which side of the fence they stand on.

Is it?  According to who?

I say it to a gamer buddy in Japan all the time, and his cousin in Cali.

...is "Cali" offensive?

As always you draw the wrong conclusion.

So then you're saying it's funny that Brazilian developers would use a Japanese animation style? The Japanese don't have a patent on anime, as far as I know. And I'm not putting them down for it, I'm merely making what I thought would be an obvious observation about the graphic style.

Edit: @ CeasarsGhost

It is an offensive term to many Japanese, as it was a common term of degradation used during wartime. it is now like many of the derogatory ethnic terms we use here in the States, they offend some and don't bother others.

Was interested until I found out it was an item mall game.  Just never found those to be my taste.
