cuki it is my opinion you have serious trust issues and also obviously have researched the company much.

It is also my opinion that you talk before you really think because there are what, like 20 or so, consistent pro-DF posters on the board and you are judging the whole DF community by that.  People who are so easily influenced by others don't usually do too well for themselves.

Like I said, I always question the Devs on the official forums for this game and I am currently banned because of the longtime followers and other idiots calling me a troll just because I ask valid questions about release date, beta, etc.

Well, this is enough for me to now say the game is very close to release. GNI would not lie, it does not benefit them to lie in any way.

Heh idk about your area , but where i am you can get  CC(debt) cards at just about any big corner store, and that's all i use for online transactions . I will do what ever it takes to get the game when it finally launches thats how much my self  and many others want a game of this type , for me it dont matter if its DF or Mo or something new that pops up in the future  .

I did thrash Elite to death though as a kid.

I’m not trying to trash DF, so save your troll comments for someone who deserves it, but I’m highly skeptical of this one for a number of reasons:
1) GNi has a PR staff, so I doubt the VP of Sales would field this question.
2) There has been nothing in terms of advertising and promotion. While Web sites like MMORPG.com certainly pander to the MMO faithful, we are still a minority in terms of end-users. Word-of-mouth just doesn’t cut it anymore, unfortunately.
3) Businesses, particularly those that deal with multi-million dollar contracts, typically don’t release information regarding their clients.

Great if true, but I’m certainly not going to hold my breath on this one.
 

Even if these emails are real, which I think they probably are, all it proves is that they are PLANNING to release the game. it still could get delayed, its not a factual release date. either way the game is definately not coming out in 2008.

and even if it does come out in q1 2009. I bet it will be half done, sorry to be a pesimist. but the last video while impressive, still looks like early alpha and this is a indie company.

Nope you are actually thinking correctly and I should have been more clear.  There definitely wont be boxes in the US.  There is  a chance you may see them in EU in certain areas though nothing is confirmed.  They certainly have the capability to do so with their EU publisher Audio Visual so we'll just have to wait and see.

I plan to play this game with some RL friends so I am trying to get info for myself and my friends so that we know if we will be playing this soon or to move on to another game if its not close to release.

Hopefully once I'm in the game I will meet some people that are nothing like most of the retards in the official forums. That is the worst community I've ever seen, most of them are just looking to argue over any comment anyone makes. Most have no common sense and are social rejects looking for a place where they can feel accepted by others like them.
