Its about as easy as wow, all mmos are now. The difference is the community is x234324 more fun and helpful, crafting is top notch, world is HHUUGGEEE and immersive, teamplay is important and exciting. Its just a solid game now. playing: darkfall |

Thinking I'm going to have to re-sub after the weekend. It's true what people say that there's just not much else that's close to VG in potential and depth. Just a shame SOE don't seem to agree. |

i actually never played Vanguard and going to give it a shot since I am not playing nothing at the moment and the game looks good. I guess I passed this game because of WoW and didnt have more time to play another game lol. I will have the game next week. And of course, any server recommendation? I am in USA, Eastern time :) |

It says that the PvP server is FFA, does that mean everyone can attack everyone, or is it the Evil side versus the good side?

Vanguard has made vast improvements. I was in beta and refused to sub at launch because I saw all the trouble they were heading for by releasing too soon. I gave it a year and came back. Graphics are top notch, quests are balanced (i.e. reward = risk), and the community, while small, is active. Crafting is the second best I've seen (UO still reigns). Combat is engaging and the different classes work well together. As far as not feeling like your the only one playing, do a quick search on the socials tab and go where the people are. I've found that by going to the region where most people your level are playing, its easy to find a group. Welcome to Vanguard! Tell your friends! (My son speaking to his Japanese Grandmother) " Sorry Obaba, I don't speak Japanese, I only speak human." |

Don't forget you have no need of buying a box anymore. After your trial at Island of Dawn just "upgrade" your account. You will then be charged for a monthly fee in your card. |

I just resubbed after having last tried it in Dec 07. What a vast improvement. I am very glad I returned. The Isle is also a great way to get people introduced (or reintroduced) to the game. I have heard mixed reviews (mostly bad) on the pvp servers only because people cry about balancing and say the game isn't really made for it. Having never played the Vanguard pvp, I have no idea what i am talking about. I only know that I really enjoy the pve side. I am a pvp player but havent tried the pvp server(s). So let me know how it goes. I am very interested to hear about your experiences. I just don't have enough time in a week to roll various characters on different types of servers.
