The folks from Lineage 2 are bringing in a new update that will see 20 minute timed PvP matches added to the game. Taking place in a maze called Kratei Cube, this addition will allow players to "pit their battle prowess and skills against friends and foes alike."

Over the years, Lineage II players have been known to push the envelope when it comes to PvP and PvE. With the recent additions of contestable Fortresses and the unrelenting continent of Hellbound, there has been plenty to do. Now, with the release of Gracia Part 2, players have another venue to pit their battle prowess and skills against friends and foes alike.

Kratei’s Cube is the latest PvP and PvE addition that allows players to fight against one another and creatures in a twenty minute timed matched. Unlike other events, players earn points for killing other players, as well as creatures within the Kratei Cube’s maze of rooms. Players with the highest point total after the round is over earn Fantasy Isle Coins, which can be exchanged at the Fantasy Isle’s NPC Paddies for valuable rewards. Finding and slaying a rare creature is worth up to 50 points and greatly could mean the difference between victory and defeat! Also, whenever you die in the Cube, your CP, MP and HP are fully restored, so you can go right back into the fray if there is time left on the match with no point loss.

good game but it has a VERY bad bot problem. The months I've played it i enjoyed it quite alot, but until they fix the bot problem, this (imo) is like a cherry on a s**t Sundae.

if it wasnt such a hard game to get into Id be interested. I tried playing it back in 2006, and not a single clan would recruit me till I was 60+... bit to long of a grind to play solo.

PVP timed fights for Bot 2 eeeeerrrr I mean Linage 2? I wonder which bot will win? As this game  makes sure you meet more bots that actual players behind characters.

You shoud try the game again. Its has changed alot since then and I dont know what server you played on were clans would not recruit you till LV 60. Now clans get points for recruiting new players so finding a clan is not hard at all. Also there are still bots but the GMs are putting forth effort in trying to keep the numbers down. I recommend trying the game, its still my favorite.

Yeah the game has changed a lot since then. They grind is gone compared to the old days. There is a new vitality system in place. (think rest XP but much better)

There are guild acadamies now also for characters under level 40. The issue now is it takes maybe a week or so to hit level 40. Its not like the old days at all. You can hit level 60 in maybe 2 months of casual play.

I think you get free buffs to level 40 now also.

There are also "common" items which are maybe 10% the cost of regular items the only restriction is you can not enchant them. You can buy regular items up to c grade in shops now at decent cost. You start running into the adena issue at B grade up (52). Even then....unless you are the type who has to have the best gear right then and there, its really not that much of an issue.

They are adding a lot of instances to the game also.

You don't drop items on death anymore either unless you have 5+ PK's. It's basically "L2 light" now.

I don't know how much of the bot thing is exaggeration by people who haven't played in a long time. The game probably still has a large number of them as it is a highly competitive game but I would go over to the offical site and read up there. You are aloud to post about bots now ever since they got rid of the old community manager.

Actually you can get Free Noob buffs up till level 62 now I think. I recently started a new character on Phoenix Server and he is almost B Grade and I have used common items and shadow weapons since day 1. It is so much easier than it was back when I started in Chronicle 4.

ah i remember chronicle 4 when you had to sit down for 3 minutes to regain your health..man, lineage 2 was hardcore back then(and still is compared to todays mmo's)..i have never gotten past 40 in lineage 2 (for some reason i always start a new character when i return) but i am very found of the game, but i also never once received a clan invite in my 3 years on and off of playing  the game.

Sometimes clans will shout in chat that they are recruiting but most of the time I will ask a certain clan if its a clan that I like. Lineage 2 is all about being in a good clan. You cant make it through the game solo.

the bot problem isnt that bad compare to last time.
