So I have been following this game for about a year now and I just found out now that there will be no mounts in the game. to me this is a major bummer. i love collecting mounts in games like WoW and i was hoping mounts would be in this game. plus im lazy and hate running on foot everywere and havin to take flightpaths. Im still gonna end up getting the game though i just feel really dissapointed that this game doesnt have any... anyone else agree?

You have been following this game for a year and didn't notice you fly everywhere? Shocking, to say the least. You might want to actually follow the game if thats your flavor.

walking is a bummer but most classes have a fast moving skill and you can glide on your wings for long distances. The reason they don't have mounts or full flight areas is because they dont want you to take short cuts to your grinding area, that would be way too easy. I found myself bypassing the path/road by jumping off a cliff and gliding to my grinding spot, that alone cut the walk time way down.

Yeah same lol. Although I did die once on accident because I miss-judged the distance from one cliff to the one below.

 When you have wings, why do you need a mount? You would have to be the laziest man on mars. "Yeah I've got wings, but I spend 30k on this flying horse instead". 

most of the area's (except for the abyss) are no fly zones but you can glide and the timer is still in effect when you glide, so there are limits on how far you can go on your wings. btw: I hate mounts and pets in game, so im cool with it.

Actually, the "mount" in most of this game's PvE areas is gliding as people said, you double jump and you pop your wings out getting a lot of speed bonus, but you need to control it, and it takes a bit of practice to master it.

The wind affects gliding, if you are in open spaces you can mantain it better than if you're in closed spaces, if it's raining/snowing it gets even a bit more complicated, then, you also have to foresee when the road goes up, so you glide high before taking that bump and you can keep gliding, you have to press "S" to glide higher and "W" to glide faster. Granted, you loose your gliding as soon as your character touches the floor, so to get the best distance covered you need to do it perfectly.

You can also use gliding jumping from high mountains and popping your wings just when you're about to touch the floor so the fall is softer.

I've been doing many races to see who glided further, and it's fun as no mount system has ever been, seriously.

 I don't know why people still asking for some stuff. If you really followed this game, than you should know a lot more about it, and don't ask lammmmmmeeeee questions.

There's no point for mounts if you can fly or glide.

 Why would you need  mounts when you can fly already?

 Also IMO would look a bit silly fly with your wings while on a mount

it sounds faaaar more interesting then boring horse/tiger/mechanic chicken/turtle/bunny riding...i can't w8 any longer..i hope ayase will come tomorrow and tell us aion comes on christmas.that would be cool

Dude, i know you've posted here before, and not as a troll, why start now?  It's been pretty common knowledge that there wasn't going to be mounts for a LONG TIME.  You might just be dicking around with us, but we have enough people who troll for real.

I was pissed off at NCSoft about Tabula Rasa. Then discovered that Linage and Lineage II had a population of 2 million, so Aion had better carry a huge fan base like the Lineage games.

Well if your sole purpose in an MMO is to collect mounts, I suggest that you look else where for an MMO to play.

Well, if it makes you feel better, you can get different types of wings that both look different and give bonuses like increased flight time. How you get them is a question I don't have an answer to, though.

personally i never liked mounts. =[ thats why i prefer aion over other games =[

Well if your sole purpose in an MMO is to collect mounts, I suggest that you look else where for an MMO to play.

This is why WoW is better, our game actually has mounts, not some cheap gimmick like '"flying with wings".  I mean come on!  You wanna fly with wings, then go buy some feathers and glue them to your arms, don't play mmos.
