So I took the advice of people on here, bought the xpac and played it, levelling my warrior to 73. I have to say, I'm already bored - it's the same thing as I did in TBC and quite frankly the graphics are terrible, blocky and the armors look awful (it doesn't help that I'm a human and the human models are blocky and ugly) The quests are the same old stuff, and although there's some cutscene bits, it's the same gather xp by doing pointless stuff that I've seen before. There's no decent PVP, and I miss the tactics and immediate PVP from Warhammer, where I levelled by doing a rotation of scenarios while questing and doing PQ stages. I'll continue to 80 and farm Naxx 25man, Malygos and Sart with my old guild for a bit. They've already killed every boss in the game and I'll just pick up the epics when I get there, but for now I find the expansion to be a boring, easy and soulless cash-cow.

Yes, all of this is obviously true. Do you have 8/8 Tier 6 and dual warglaves too? In every country and in every age, the priest has been hostile to liberty. He is always in alliance with the despot, abetting his abuses in return for protection to his own. -Thomas Jefferson |

I'm sure I'm one of a small crowd, but the entire genre of MMO's are losing their appeal for me as they are just so dumbed down as to be repetitive and boring. I was bored with WoW years ago and no matter eye candy is thrown on it - I don't care. WAR is a miserable joke of a game, but I might try it again in a year if I start reading tons of glowing rave reviews. The upcoming Bioware Star Wars might be okay, but not unless it requires both brains and skill (and what are the odds of that happening?). I'd like to play a slightly upgraded Origins, but I doubt Mythic has the vision to pull that off. So I'm playing "Left for Dead" now and I may end up back in Planetside after that. Good luck to you. |

there is exactly one guild that has finished 25 man naxx. So you are in that guild? Nice try though. I'm sorry Warhammer is failing so badly and is merging 60% of their north american servers. Oh hey, look.... a press release. Wrath sold 2.8M copies in 24hrs and Blizzard had to open 22 new servers in north american and EU. But really, nice try with the 'my guild already killed all the bosses in the game' line. There isn't even a guild on my server that has 25 members who are level 80 yet. If you are an ex-wow player and want to come back. Scroll of Rez gives 7 free days, boost a character to 80 a realm and faction change. Send me PM for an invite. Only 1 per day available |

Stopped reading after "I miss the tactics and immediate PVP from Warhammer". Your problem is obvious. You loose. |

I agree and in a way it's stupid of me for faulting WoW for being WoW, I just find it boring and skillless, I guess I've moved on to bigger and better things :)

I used to be a very major WoW player (read: a bit addicted) but I feel like I'm done with it. I'm playing to see if it can hold me. Long story short: I really don't know why I'm continuing, but at least I can play my marauder and ironbreaker in the evenings :) It's no big deal, I got a lot of time during the day anyway, and it's kind of nice to know from experience that I'm not really missing anything :)

I think I just realized why so many have the hate for WoW that they do. They are like this guy. They are addicted to the game and can't stop playing even though they know it's bad for them. It's like someone with a crack addiction. They blame crack for ruining their life. Maybe that's why I just don't get it, because I'm not addicted. I can play without becoming addicted. Tuesday night my cable modem's power supply died and I didn't get a replacement till last night, so I went 2 days without the internet and it didn't really even bother me. I watched some TV and played a bit of Dawn of War and even went and spent some time with my grandkids instead. Last night I was back playing and enjoying my time again. I guess I'm just lucky. |

Bigger things? You mean that game that's dying with a quickness soon to be forgotten? |

No I dont think you are one of a small crowd. It is, however, a natural thing to humans - we always want more. We are evolving as gamers. Long time ago we used to drool from a 3d game with max resolution of 320x200 and 256 colors. Games evolve and so are we. The problem is, we evolve much faster then games. With WoW, they go with the working formula. They do not try to create something very completely new like some other games tried to (AoC, Vanguard, Ryzom, Eve) - they do not want to risk their huge player base. Which is perfectly fine. If there is a demand, why create something else? When enough people get tired of the same old WoW, then I bet they will make a new WoW, much different from the one we have right now. But before that, those people that get tired faster then the others are stuck playing niche games. Personally, WoW is still fun for me. Its not as much fun as it used to be, but still holds my interest. For how long? I dont know. I canceled WoW too many times but always returned because theres nothing better that would would hold my attention for more then 1 month. I hope all those gaming companies will catch up with us and make us something new and fun. I am the type of player where I like to do everything and anything from time to time. |

You mean WAR? Oh did they release that one already? That's nice, good for them! Still waiting for your Holy Grail MMORPG? Interesting... |
