The estimated downtime is approximately two hours. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding.
Tried the hoth instance. I /eject-ed after about 5 minutes. So many bugs it was unplayable. 6 months to develop this mess. This is almost not even funny, anylonger. |

I ran the hoth instance 4 times yesterday with no problems. Flying the snowspeeders was more fun than I thought it would be. This is by far the hardest thing to do in the game (from the rebel side). The voiceovers, all the new artwork, it is awesome to play. |

Yep. So great they have to tear down the servers today to "fix" what they broke yesterday. Notice your here instead of there. Oh, yeah, SWG is down for repairs. |

Anyone want to bet that one of the things they bolted on to do the stuff on Hoth is what is killing the servers? It's been 3 years and the morons STILL don't understand the need to make their test server as identical as possible to the live ones.
Play the NGE TC(s)G</a>! It's Free! Its Fun! http://sturly.com/qd2 I encourage everyone who doubts the word of those who reject the NGE to try it for themselves. http://tryswg.com |

I ran Hoth last night, had no problems. So I started to walk into the water. I won't lie to you boys...I was terrified. But I pressed on, and as I made my way past the breakers, a strange calm came over me. I don't know if it was divine intervention or the kinship of all living things, but I tell you, Jerry, at that moment ... I was a marine biologist. |

Yes, you have to be in a group to get in the instances. However, you can leave and come back at will UNTIL THE 2 1/2 HOUR TIME LIMIT IS UP. At which point, the lockout kicks in. Thats the stupidest design for an instance I've ever heard of. You have to be in a group to get. You only get a set amount of time in there. You have to wait in a que to get in. Dumb, dumb and dumber. Its almost like being a sailor on a sub, where you only get to sleep in a bunk until its your turn to go back on duty, then some other guy (or guys) sleeps in the same bunk you did. It might be ok for living on a sub but its stupid for mmo instances. Another quality job by soe. OH MY GOD WE'RE SURROUNDED! SEND FOR BACKUP! DIG IN DEFENSIVE POSITIONS! MAN YOUR NECKBEARDS!!! I dunno about the queue thing ... I got right in when I got home. As far as a limited time in there, I understand it ... prevents people from hiding in instances from BHs and whatnot. The group mechanic (you only need 4 in your group) I believe is designed to prevent people from running around trying to solo it, since there are limited clones of the instance per server and soloers would clog them all up. Once again, the SOE way is the cheap way. Bad, bad, bad. Man, they do suck so badly. It is astonishing. |

I don't know where these guys are getting into Hoth, but the lag for me is beyond terrible. It makes Hoth unplayable as far as I'm concerned. I haven't expreienced lag of that nature since we had a massive 50 on 50 PvP "final battle" on Ahazi just prior to the CU. Oh wait. Yeah, when Pex left, he visited Ahazi twice last June, and the lag was that bad then as people grouped around to wish him well and get all the accolade badges. Mind you, in the Hoth instance I was in last night there were only five actual players. Everything else was NPCs and taun tauns. Did see Darth Vader. Level 300 and 2.5 million hit points. Woooeee! CH, Jedi, Commando, Smuggler, BH, Scout, Doctor, Chef, BE...yeah, lots of SWG time invested. Once a denizen of Ahazi |

Reading around the SWG forums, seems not too many people are too impressed with Hoth, and some even claimed to have beaten the instance already. I expected today's downtime, it happens almost everytime with SWG since the beginning, TC & live servers are somewhat different, if you make something on TC and don't change anything with it then put it on live, it comes out different for some reason and this has been an issue for as long as I can remember.
SWTOR: sub ended, no thanks to Georg Zoeller! |

I played last night there was no lag get a decent PC the one you bought 5 years ago won't run the updated SWG you need some cpu power! I still enjoy the game but yes I took a lot of time off from it till chapter 6 then I came back. No its not the old game no they won't roll back so wait for the emu or may be even support it. I thinks its a great addition to the game! { Mod Edit } Ajax |
