Ok so it's not an MMORPG. But it has many features similar to an MMORPG, and some of the similar features, it does much better. ---- |

Fallout 3 is a stupid shooter with a few dialogue lines. It has nowhere near the atmosphere and gameplay of first two games. If you like shooters then fine I accept that, but this game is a waste of a perfect RPG-license. |

Don't be so hard on this guy. He is a clear testament of the reality of the MMO gender and of these boards in an extend. For every game that somebody enjoys and posts good things about, there will always be somebody else who dislikes it and will post bad thins about it. It is in our nature to be different and it's understandable and acceptable. It is unfortunately also easy to forget. |

Far as I'm concerned, Fallout 3 is the best game this year. Fuck Gears of War 2, Farcry 2, etc. THOSE are stupid fucking shooters with a few lines of dialog. Fallout 3 is an rpg, and a damn fine one in my book. And I played and liked Fallout 1 and 2 when they were originally released and many times since then. But I prefer Fallout 3 over them both. |

Great i defend fallout even though i dont own it, "ive played it:" and then we got a jerk dissin on Farcry2 and gears which i do own and rocks. "i have never played a bad shooter with bad dialogue" The most common shooter i have played is the ones with "NO" dialogue and even they kickass.

But then again, I rarely if ever play a sequel to a shooter. They're just rehashes of the first games, with better graphics thrown in. And you're gonna tell me there was no talking at all in either of those two games? |

i prefer old Fallouts over 3. while it's not bad game, it falls short in dialog and character interaction. for simple proof, try playing character with Charisma and Intelligence at 1. there is practically no difference in conversation. i find it odd that speech requires a skill roll to influence conversation, while other skills require only a threshold. also, i see no point in fps elements. non-VATS shooting should still be character skill based, and not dependent on player skill. it's a good game, worth playing, but nothing grond breaking. |

Fallout 3 kicks ass. It's as good as MW/Elder Scrolls, in my opinion. It's just a fun game to play. Tecmo Bowl. |

Fallout 3 is a Top game. It's no MMORPG but what it can do is give you 100+ hours of distraction if your short of a decent MMORPG to play. I am subbed to WAR but to be honest i'm sick of the fantasy thing and I can't be bothered to play. At the minute I am looking towards Xbox360 Games just to fill the time until a decent MMORPG comes out to play. The Graphics and setting in Fallout 3 are spectacular and it has a very nostalgic feeling, similar to the nostalgic feeling you got when playing Bioshock. Probably because they both have a distinctive 50's theme to them. Another good game out there at the minute is Dead Space, well worth a look in my opinion. Also you have Gears2, COD5 - plenty to help fill the gap if you have no MMO. Crossing my fingers for a Jumpgate beta Key or a Champions beta Key, both are due to start Closed Beta this month........ |

I agree. I'm playing Fallout 3 and having a blast. It's a well made RPG, reminds me of KOTOR. There are some things that I find kinda tedious though. After you discover an area by walking there, you can fast travel there by just clicking in the big map. You can't do this from inside a many combat areas, which is cool, it makes you stay on your toes so you try to get out alive. But, when I'm low in health, I usually travel back to a safe area, sleep in a bed to recover, then go back and finish the quest. It's either that, or eat radiated molerat meat or something like that, which restores some health, but gives you radiation poison, and you have to buy expensive radaway to cure it. Or, you can eat medicine but then you get addicted and have to go to the clinic to buy a cure. So, to avoid the radiation sickness and addictions, I'm traveling back to a safe area to get some sleep all the time. What about everyone else? Are you just getting addicted to meds, or eating radiated food? |

You know its a shame MMO's these days can't create an immersive atmosphere and world like Fallout 3 did, or even Oblivion. |

I'm listening to the NPC dialog, and completing quests, and looking at my stats and where to spend points, scrolling through my gear to decide what to keep and what to ditch. Why would I want to do that with other players? Are you going to wait on me while I read NPC dialog, and scroll through all the options for 10 minutes? Fallout 3 or Oblivion are kind of like interactive books. Do you ever read a book with someone else at the same time? It's kinda hard. |
