Baked Lasagna - Serves 8

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 lbs Ground Beef (chuck, round)
  • 2 lb jar of Original RAGU spaghetti sauce (homemade is fine, but more trouble than I care to go through)
  • 1box (1 lb) Lasagna Noodles (fresh pasta is fine, but not necessary)
  • 1 lb Mozarella (shredded works best)
  • 1 lb Swiss (shredded works best)
  • 2 lbs Ricotta (Cottage is a fine substitute)
  • .5 cup of Parmesan
  • 1 clove Garlic
  • 1 tsp dried Oregano (fresh is fine, just fine chop and double)
  • .5 tsp salt
  • .25 tsp pepper
  • 9" x 13" x 3" Baking Dish (disposable works fine)

Prep:

  • Brown hamburger and add 3/4 of the sauce
  • Stir in garlic, oregano, salt and pepper
  • Simmer on med/low heat, adding sauce to thin the mixture (but keep it thick enough to spread)
  • Cook noodles (only 6-8 noodles will be used)
  • Preheat over to 350°

Layer:

  1. Spread half of sauce mixture
  2. One layer of noodles (either 3 or 4, depending on the type of noodles)
  3. Spread half of Ricotta
  4. Spread half of Swiss
  5. Spread half of Mozarella
  6. Repeat 1-5
  7. Top with Parmesan

Cook:

Cover dish with aluminum foil and bake at 350° for 30 minutes. Uncover and bake an additional 15-20 minutes (until Parmesan is thoroughly browned and sauce is bubbling around the edges). Let stand 15-20 minutes. Enjoy!

You mock me by adding that link to About.com. I don't think you're aware that I could potentially be strung up by my family if they found out that I posted that lasagna recipe on the web.

They do look good though

I didn't mean to step on any toes or anything, but I must admit, I was a bit surprised to see a recipe for Buckeyes show up on a southern cooking website.  At the very least I expected it to be a midwestern site.

Bulldog burgers aren't anything like Rocky Mountain oysters I hope.

Keep it simple

Squared baking dish spray with non stick spray

Scrambled eggs layered in Cheese, onions, grits, cheese, then hash browns on top baked in oven at 350 for about 20 min till top is golden brown serve in squares nice for company

Wraps put left over meat doused with picanta suace cheese can use just about any type of meat about 10 min in 350 degrees fast food that is fresh and simple to make

Your Lasagne recipe would be better if you substitute the hamburger for Italian sausage. And yes, homemade sauce is much better.

Try a Heartattack Casserole:

8 - 10 large baking potatoes (depends how "tatory" you want it)
1 block of velveeta cheese
1 cup of mayo
1 medium sized can of sliced black olives

Cut potatoes and boil until tender - do not overcook
cube the velveeta

mix everything together, toss in a casserole dish and bake at 300 degrees until potatoes are cooked and cheese is melted.

Mix in some pre-cooked ground beef for extra flavor.

Simple, cheap, good and completely and utterly unhealthy.

By the way, I don't agree with you that the relevant market here is health care. You're not regulating health care. You're regulating insurance. It's the insurance market that you're addressing and you're saying that some people who are not in it must be in it, and that's -- that's different from regulating in any manner commerce that already exists out there. - Scalia

Now that it's getting colder out, it's time to make nice comfort foods like stews and soups.  It's not my favourite time of year, but I enjoy winter cooking.  Here's a good recipe if you want an easy all in one meal:

Cut 4 or 5 small-med potatoes (really, any kind will do) in to halves or quarters, depending on size.  Chop 1 large onion, chunky.  Chop 1 red pepper, chunky.  8 chicken thighs - I prefer skinless, boneless.    Throw it all into a bowl and mix it with enough olive oil to cover it all, maybe 1/4 cup or so.  Season it with salt, pepper, crushed rosemary, paprika and spread it out on a large baking sheet.  Bake for about an hour at 375.  Stir it around every now and then.  This is also like the recipe I use to roast my veggies for holiday dinners.  You can leave out the chicken and use any sort of root veg you like.  Don't forget to scrape up some of the yummy sticky brown goo that forms on the pan, too.  It's the best bit!

Can you build a bookshelf?

Cooking is just like anything else, easy if you follow the instructions.

If all else fails, break out the Crock Pot.

Mmmmm.... Goooooo

No required quests! And if I decide I want to be an assassin-cartographer-dancer-pastry chef who lives only to stalk and kill interior decorators, then that's who I want to be, even if it takes me four years to max all the skills and everyone else thinks I'm freaking nuts. -Madimorga-

I absolutely love this recipe and have made it at least half a dozen times since I first found it. I substitute Pineapple Juice for the water called for.

It is a bit sweet so two absolute musts are to serve it with rice and especially crispy chow mein noodles.

Turkey Sandwich

Ingredients:

Sliced turkey (I prefer ultra thin slices)
Mustard
Two slices of bread

Lay the two slices of bread on a plate. Get the turkey out and put the bag next to the plate along with the mustard. Lay the turkey slices out on one piece of bread and apply mustard as needed.

I have many personal favorites, but the one dish that i would allways eat is the Milanesa. Also its one the most popular dish in Argentina. And it could perfect compete with the more comon knowledge Asado (which means roasted)

www.recipezaar.com/Milanesas-Breaded-Sirloin-78573

Theres a link, but this is the recipe i use, wich is far more simple.

*Just get some slim slices of beef meat, boneless and without fat.

*Then, break some eggs in a bowl, ad garlic, parsley, and a a healthy dose of white pepper (enough to make it an off taste for the dish, since white pepper has a distintic flavor but it does not give the main punch).

Break the yellow center off the eggs and beat them, mixing them toguether.

*Now, get a tray full of thin bread crumbs.

They are very easy to make, just dip the meat slice into the eggs, and then throw them into the breadcrumbs.

Cover the slice with more breadcrumps and compact them using your open hands.

Then fry until crispy, or bake in the (preheated) oven for 5 minutes at moderate heat.

Enjoy
