Darkfalls .. a  is not anything new. If you look when they started this game and what they wanted it to look and act like THEN it might have been a hit. As it is now their just a day late and a dollar short. Now days any kind of PVP is just not what it was. And these guys lol have such a long history of making MMO's huh.

Everyone NEW WarHammer would be just as big if not bigger then WOW lol well we see how that turned out. And Darkfall is no one. Then this PVP/loot is NOT whats selling today. If thats ALL they will have the game will not do so good. I dont think they can even brake a 200k. And if that means HIT to you .. a ok have fun.

Side note: anytime you have to USE the word "kid" and the like does not MAKE you an adult. Its just a troll to yank the person chain. Epic fail = kid? lol yeah and only kids play WOW.. blah blah blah get over it ..

I find it hard to believe that any adult...or any adult with an actual mentality of an adult....would use phrases like "epic fail"  or omg "epic lulz".  Cmon now...
 

And please try to understand that no fan, well sane fan, thinks DF will break record subs.  All we want is what the game promises.  And you definition of a HIT is part of the problem in the industry.

It will be a HIT if it captures a large % of the market it targets.  Thats all the fans want....we dont expect or want WoW numbers.  Just a game that we can have fun in.

 EVE is considered a HIT for what it is...and most of us are expecting EVE-esque numbers IF the game delivers and launches smoothly.

I agree with you here. There has only been one "epic" failure in the history of MMO's, Dark and Light.

PVP/full loot is not the only selling point of this game. FFA PVP w/Full Loot is but one of the core features of the game. Others include:

No instancing, (Age of Conan, gone)

Real-time FPS/TPS style fighting, (Good-bye UO, Runescape)

Skill-based, (See ya Tibia)

Conquest with limited numbers of cities that can be attacked by anyone, even the mobs, (this is not the same as Shadow-bane's system, or as War's system)

And for the PVE crowd, Dynamic mob spawns and epic mobs that never re-spawn, (I've never seen an MMO with non-respawing mobs before...)

Naval battles, (for those who like to be pirates)

Those are just the major selling points. Now tell me, which other game has all of those?

Uh, ya.  This is the problem with MMOs in general.  They all give these "wish list" feature lists, and 99% of the time they don't deliver on half of them.  We all buy into the hype just to be let down time after time. 

 

You also posted about it having Next Gen graphics......you're kidding right.  I mean I understand we tend to judge MMOs on a different scale, but they are hardly next gen.
