All Free 2 play games suck If you must torture yourself try Requiem, Atlantica online, or wait for December relese of Runes of magic, These are 3 free 2 play games that I personally found more exciting than sitting in a chair looking at the roof. Runes of magic especially was fun actually. It felt like I was getting World of warcraft minus the 10 year old crying, and free 2 play, Only reason I am not on it right now is because I have good Pay 2 play mmorpgs keeping me busy, and because I don't do closed Beta tests. I like to keep my work.
so in this order Runes of magic Atlantica online Requiem (Requiem has the most fair cash shop I ever seen in a F2P mmorpg) Shaiya is one of the most expensive ones iv ever seen. But if you can Just get guild wars and have a good fun time this december. |

In the end it won't matter how many breaths you took, but how many moments took your breath away. |

My favorite P2P mmo's are well, the truth is I'm looking for a F2P mmo because all the P2P ones have lost there luster. Let me put it this way. I have an active account on AOC that I can play but, I don't want to. I liked Auto Assault anything like that. ~Sarkai |

If you want just a fun game online for free...try out Exteel a online 3rd person shooter 100% free 2 play and Free to win as well. If you want to win easier you can fork over 5 dollars a month and get for that virtually all the bonuses you need to do very well. |

Atlantica is a very very well developed mmorpg. An innovation; not just an mmo but an rts/mmo that actually makes you play the game, unlike conventional DAoC/WoW/or other types. Without an out-of-game mall, the economy, crafting and item system is completely player driven. No fan of Asian free-to-play here, BUT I jumped on to ARGOS, their newest server to keep my distance from an overly crowded one, and have been playing this game for a week or so.
I'm a product of UO and EQ and have not found a mmo that is as thoughtful about the merge of rts and mmo as this game is. Im very pleasently surprised at the level of detail with the tactical aspect of combat in this game, both PvE and PvP; well done. You have to actually think about how you not only want to develop your band of mercenaries, your toon/party, but the combat makes you think on your feet as you manage to defeat a group of mobs while shifting your formation to compensate for misfortune at time.
The player-driven economy is excellent, I think, and I find even the lest likely to sell items sell very quickly...players are actually playing the market and utilizing the market to advance their craft. Crafting is very detail oriented, and broad, but not to the point of being mundane or micro-management. What I love is that I can have a work-load that crafts as I battle - a great use of on-line time.
City ownership, skills management, yada yada yada. The only thing that is hard for me and others is that character customization is not as unique and individualized as modern US mmo's, but I've been one to say that many modern mmos are nothing more than window-dressing in disguise, so I can live with it. Im still enjoynig myself. |

Runes of Magic is decent, but they force grouping. So if you actually want to kill anything beyond random encounters, you've gotta find a group. Personally I don't have time to wait around for that, so this game is hard for me to recommend. On the other hand if you have the time for grouping, I think RoM will probably rise to the top of the crap crop. So it may be worth checking out for you once it releases. |

Currently I'm having fun with RO2 as it's not even listed here on this site and is currently in beta only in korea I'm not abliged to tell you how. I would like reqieum to step up to the plate though. The game has serious potential that isn't being implemented. The game could have an awesome endgame if Gravity got off it's but, and sent US Gravity the patches they have. Seriously Koreas version of requiem is months ahead of ours in terms of bug fixes and content. If they started frequent updates I would probably play that. ~Sarkai |

Exteel would be my first recomendation, for short burst of intense action at least. I love the Item mall. You can buy great mechs with cash, but you can also buy (other) great mechs by playing a lot and earning a lot of credits (in-game currency) Also i just tried Wizard 101 and even if i don't find great i also recomend everyone to try it out. It is really a breath of fresh air. |

I play these, or want to play these games. I'd suggest Shaiya, Atlantica Online, Perfect World, and Runes of Magic Shaiya is pretty cool, pretty good graphics. Atlantica Online maybe better graphics then Shaiya, a different combat sequence/style Perfect World is pretty good graphics, great character customization, kinda hard to level up Runes of Magic. Havent played, but it reminds me of runescape times, wow style. Free, doesnt come til December, good graphics All of these are F2P but you can buy stuff probably from a online shop like weapons or exp things |

I've seen you say this in other threads, but I will say for everyones information that the Atlantica Online Item Mall is NOT substantially game enhancing at all, really. Atlantica is the first f2p mmo I've found where item mall does not matter for game-play, crafting, character development, PvP or general competition.
Its a breath or fresh air to realize that game-play relies on a players play-time and character accomplishments in-game, not their wallet size for Atlantica. |
