I am playing Runes Of Magic too and I am not impressed. Go to Subagames.com and register because Priston Tale 2 Beta is comming up and its going to be a very good game. AMD FX-4100 Zambezi (OC at 4.3GHZ ATM) |

I play runes.. also. But Atlantica seems to be intresting too. Perfect world is also worth a look and granada espada (sword of the new world), the rest of the F2P games feels kinda outdated, like Rappelz or last chaos, would have been nice 7 years ago but the look and gameplay just isn'tghood enough. |

Ruins of Magic - basically a F2P WoW clone, at least at low level it is only customization is way better but no racial selection at all, just humans. Interesting item (ruin) system. Gameplay is so just like everything else out there. Bah, its free. I can see this one being very cash shop dependent. Atlantica - pretty interesting combat system but it sucks as an MMORPG Go for Guild Wars - yeah you gotta get the box but it is still, hands down, the best F2P game out there.
Sample them all if you get the chance, only GW has a real cost and I think you can get a trial. |

only one I can recommend www.playrequiem.com/default.aspx Velika: City of Wheels: Among the mortal races, the humans were the only one that never built cities or great empires; a curse laid upon them by their creator, Gidd, forced them to wander as nomads for twenty centuries... |

and about shaiya, its ok i guess, but i lost interest after a day, because of the terrible grind, and the dumb "mode" system |

In the end it won't matter how many breaths you took, but how many moments took your breath away. |

shaiya is a real pvp game, also have a ultra mode with perma death... i play 9dragons, nice atmosphere, fun gameplay/skills but its a hard grinder (no aoe skills) and lacks content from mid game to endgame, but theres a huge patch coming to fix that... should come soon.. also the goldspam is rampant but there doesnt seem to be many hackers/botters around. ow yea item mall is one of the most unbalancing in any f2p, theres a premium item thats basically 'godmode' (compared to non-premium users) for 3 months for 40 bucks. i hit 80 w/o paying a buck tho and theres always more then enough other free users playing also playing dekaron (eu version of 2moons) is also a nice game, but a grinder ofc ^^ has some nice stuff like dead front (a teambased instance, quite challenging) and has 6 classes who arent the standard cookie cutter doc/hyb/warrior/nuke classes, they actually differ a lot. also cash shop is not unbalancing the game for the free users and the GMs are very active towards botters/goldspammers and playing martial heroes, nostalgic graphics (which i like :P) and the first 50 lvls or so are all about questing, then its a grinder. is more unknown game so not many botters here, also its in MH legal to sell/buy/trade accounts, but beware for scammers always use the GEE safe trade (thats for the EU version, USA version is pretty dead) hope i helped u out, just check some gameplay vids for the games u are interested in, they are all free so ud lose time at best if u dont like them

Thank you for all your opinions. I'm currently trying Atlantica Online and Wizard 101 as they are both a a refreshing change from the standard grind mmos. Wizard 101 is a great mmo that I haven't heard alot about. I believe it should be tryed by all. |

Shadowbane is a great mmo, went free-to-play a couple years ago. Not an Asian grind fest, no item mall or paid items. Best pvp system there is (totally open pvp, very few "safe" zones) player controlled world map where the player-politics influences who controls what, player built cities that can be sieged by other guilds, small scale to very large scale pvp, etc |

I downloaded perfect world international today. Haven't played since there was just the malaysian servers or whatever. I haven't quite wrapped my head around the entirety of the game again yet, but the translation is a lot better and the visuals, soundtrack, and slower combat seem pretty relaxing (those three aspects alone are worth logging into the game for me once in a while). Only thing that is really keeping me from enjoying the game is that I can't really adjust the UI so that I can see things better, and the key bindings elude me. Damn F2P MMO's with their lack of customization. Anyway I kind of feel like I need another MMO to get into as well (and only enough $$ for one sub- wow). Turned off from atlantica over a few things ATM, but I'm sure I'll get in the mood to play it again eventually. Bummed out to hear that the people in this thread didn't like RoM -------------------------- |
