Thanks for the responses guys. What I read between the lines was AoC has good stuff going for them. Population have taken a big hit but are good on a selection on servers. There also seem to be some good content incoming besides patch 3.0. Like Dx10. I also read that LotRO might be a good alternative. I might wanna take a look on LotRO. Can I have some more feedback on LotRO population?

Meanwhile I just want to say WAR seem to be totally fcked now. WAR is out of top 10 list and number of Xfire players dropping with 1000 a week. There is seemingly no improvement to the trend either. Mythic dropped the ball on a so good thing here. I just don't understand it.

I don't know why you keep saying Warhammer is dying and then asking about AOC.    They both are losing about 15-20% of their players every week, but Warhammer currently has like 10x's as many players as AOC.

Any AoC fan will tell you that Xfire stats don't mean anything.

LOTRO has pretty good graphices, and requires a group to finish the Fellowship questlines.

I only got to play LOTRO for 3 days of my free trial (due to me having to leave town), but from the look and feel, it has "epic game" qualities, and it isn't a game where you can solo the whole thing (like AoC) . It doesn't have the same high end graphics that AoC has, but that means that when 20 people are in a small area, your framrate won't drop to 5-10 fps.

If you need a good game to play, you could do a lot worse than LOTRO

Well the new patch has some serious issues with the PVP system that was patched in, in full, today.  You can be attacked byt a lower level and when you retaliate you are attacked by guards and get massive murder points. Then when you attempt to do the quests to remove this stigma, the quest giver is broken and you cant get the quests !

Crom seem to have some players but bit of a soloist myself so might not care that much, not sure how to see how many players are online, no idea how to even see the people in the same zone /list or /who does not seem to work.

At this point my AoC account is cancelled and no it is not because i don't like the game, all my other mmo's are cancelled to thanks to way to much bills every month so my salary is not enough to pay it all :( so have to lower my costs, credit cards are nice but way to easy to spend more then you can pay

It has to be tiring for you to have no critical filter on everything you read?  Above was explained to you in a different thread I belive.

Honestly OP, if you think WAr has problems (and it has), then what will you say about AOC?AOC is just not losing as many subs as war since it already bleed for months to the point that is almost on life support.

let's be honest, mythic is being slow to react to the axial problems, but it is reacting. Funcom didn't do a thing to adress AOC main probs for 4? 5 months? maybe i'm being bad, funcom did a few things, most of didn't fix the central problems and end up creating others.

Lol what a  bullshit post. With November 17th live event and introduction of two missing classes population will only increase. Today in T3 RVR it  was crazy, 200 people and my pc lagged to death. People on AOC and WAR forums need to try harder to be trolls.
