No if someone was giving out free razors in the pub and you took one, that isn't theft but it's the person whose distributing it that's doing the crime. |

This is true, however, most if not all places that games can be downloaded illegally are peer to peer. So while your buddies are stealing games others are downloading off of them thus they too are committing a crime.

I'm a small business owner that is in its second year and have a 6 month old little one. I have "$0" in the budget for video games... So I take the high road and sell some of my oldies (Crysis, Half-life 2) on ebay. Toss in a season 6 of Stargate SG-1 and POW enough for Fallout. I just wish there was a distinction between stealing games and selling your old ones on ebay. How do they get away with that DRM crap? If I want to sell my Nissan, will they block the new user from being able to drive it?? Wow.. This post turned into a bit of a rant outlet! LOL.. I feel a bit better. Okay to clarify how stupid John's above post is, if someone is giving away free downloads of Fallout 3 and you accept don't even try to say it's their fault. It's like blaming the car industry alone for global warming when you yourself are sitting in the drivers seat of the very car or truck that is supporting the industry.
Give me a break to those that download games and don't pay for them and don't even pretend you're not to blame, get some morals. |

Actually, it is. If you take or download something that has been illigaly copied or stolen, and you are aware of this, you have become liable for theft. That is the law. If you can't afford to buy something as cheap as a game, then you probably shouldn't be worried about playing games anyway. |

It is not illegal to download the games, its just illegal to seed them. While I think it should be illegal both ways, I think that every game should have a free demo to download. Most do but the ones that don't I download to try them out. Nothing like spending 50 bucks on a bunk game, at least with all console games you can rent them. Now I only download games If there isn't a free trial just to try them out, and If I like them I buy the game if not then oh well I lost no money. Now people will say you still owe the company money for using there game, well if they would have had a demo that I can download then I wouldn't had to get it in my hands the illegal way.
People will always try to get free stuff If they can its just human nature of beating the system, and I used to download stuff all the time, but Ive stopped because It isn't helping the industry at all. I was just helping myself and If I want to make money by writing music or making a game, what Im doing will hurt myself as well the industry. People are working hard to make these forms of entertainment for others and until it effects you personally most people wont stop.
I have this game ready to download from direct to drive and I can't wait to dive into this game. Be supportive of the gaming companies and Buy the game, If they don't make money on the games they make us how to you expect them to make more games for us to play?

I'll have the cash to buy it within the month, for the pc. I just bought a new pc as well, so I'm kinda strapped for cash at the moment. I've heard some positive reviews about the game, and even if it doesn't turn out to be similar to the original 2 Fallout games (Which I loved to death), I still hope it's a great game in it's own right. |

It's basicly Oblivion with guns and since it doesn't have support for modding, you'll be playing the vanilla version. Oblivion vanilla version sucked donkeys hairy testicles. Might turn out to be a decent FPS, but Fallout I&II are legendary RPG titles and the word is out that lot of the core elements that made those games the best RPG games ever made, are missing from part 3. |

Rumors are that this game will be like other Bethesda titles and have no DRM, therefore I'll be buying at least one copy, no matter if I play it or not. If a good title comes out with Securom, I'll never buy it. If a good game comes out where they don't punish their customers with DRM, I'll buy at least one copy. More often than not I'll end up buying 3-4. |

Well, you're gonna be a little upset. Fallout 3 DRM is SecuROM. People having tons of trouble installing on the Bethesda forums: http://www.bethsoft.com/bgsforums/index.php?showforum=36 I had to disable Nero and remove Daemon Tools in order to get the friggin' thing to install. But feel better considering the Russians have to deal with Starforce. |

I have only played for 4 hours and really did nothin much...this game is great. Can someone please tell me. Is there a flashlight in this game? It's dark as hell and me incressing brightness may just wash out the graphics on the screen. -In memory of Laura "Taera" Genender. Passed away on Aug/13/08- |

By the way, those planning on buying the PS3 version, you WILL crash and you WILL freeze up. So far, this and SecuROM on PC version seem to be the two biggest technical complaints. |

Securom = no sale here then. I will NEVER buy any game which hides Securom on your PC |

Oh, I forgot to mention... Their ploy of infesting PC games with DRM/SecuROM will NOT force me to go buy it on a console. I refuse to own a console of any sort. I'm PC all the way. Punishing law abiding customers = less customers. |

I had no install problems what so ever. It didnt even ask for a cd key. I dont know for sure if it does have securerom, but I cant find anything on the box like there logo. Most games that have it have the trademark info in small print with all the other crap.. i.e. microsoft, direct X... Love it btw.... Up till 4am. lol Everquest 1, Star wars galaxies, City of heroes/villains, Eve, Lord of the rings, Age of Conan |
