Gotta go with Jumpgate or Quantum Rise the new X-Pack for EVE :D
Why? Jumpgate looks great, one of my favorite games of ALL TIME is Freespace 2 and I really enjoyed the X3 series of games, and Jumpgate seems to combine the two of them together and place them in an MMO world. The EVE X-pack simply because it's EVE and EVE is a wonderful game! |

Darkfall..
It's the only MMORPG that has done something different in over 5 years.

Darkfall, although I was much disappointed finding out it has a minimap and a GPS. So much for hardcore. |

Think of a minimap as an MMO holding your hand as you travel around the world. Yes, it's carebear to be sure. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5tK6YIAX1jg |

How does a MMO hold your hand? So you're telling me that by using a minimap i'm carebear? I'm sorry if I would rather a map on screen instead of taking one second to press the M button to see the full screen map. hell might as well take away all maps since I could spam the M button really fast and actually use it as a navigation device. now i'm talking strickly about a smaller version of the game map on my screen not the little icons new mmos put on them that tell you were your quests are (i agree those are lame). I just don't see a problem with a map on my screen. Hell lets take away mana and health bars also and get rid of the target screen, isn't it carebear to have that kind of information also? you guys are silly. No maps at all. EQ didn't have any maps and those of us who loved it got along just fine. It's called learning the lay of the land. A game that's built right, that is one which is truly immersive, had no need for maps. The devs would smartly place landmarks and landscapes throughout the world so that your mind would become your map. Come on people, you're never going to get that real world experience unless it actually simulates a real world. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5tK6YIAX1jg |

Darkfall, i don't have allot of info about TCoS and Aion looks like same old same old. __________________________________ Remember the good old days when devs made games just for the sake of making a great game? REMEMBER THE OLD DAYS AND REGRET THEY HAVE PASSED. |

Aion will have very pretty graphics but will it have any interesting quests or will it just be a grind like Lineage II and I have heard that it will be a free for all PvP game and I don't like that. Duels between equally matched players are fine but getting killed repeatedly by one or a full group of higher levelled players isn't what I want to spend my online time on. |

Darkfall, open world, player driven economy, open PvP, pirates!, awesome sounding PvE (I usually hate PvE), full loot, skillbased... this list is almost endless. I do hate the idea of minimap and GPS, hopefully they discard the idea. TCoS, I had high hopes for this game, but then I took the effort of finding out how their beta is going and... well, the hope is gone. Sad. Aion, I've looked into this game and have no idea what it is that everyone are so excited about. Graphics are nice and theres some sort of aerial combat, but other than that, it looks like same old shit.
Darkfall, easily. |

Aion or Darkfall, may be the first coming will get me. This time it's the last opportunity i give myself to MMOs. After i left LIneage II no game have really caught me, you know... few months here, few months there, nothing really that get me inmersed like L2 did. May be will be a good idea to try one so called "Sandbox" before to get the retirement. But my problem with Darkfall its that really i can figure out how it is going to be, too much confusion about this game. I fear some people will be very disheartened. The imagination and the wishes are playing a big role right now around Darkfall. At the other hand, it's clear to me what Aion is going to be and i would like to try it. I'm conviced it will be a success as soon as NCSoft launched it and people start to realise that really it isn't a grinding feast. What both have in common to me is the posibility (and just the posibility. I will see) to feature a real team work as the core in all the extend of the game. It's my must it's what makes my MMORPG. Since i left Lineage II i miss it in all games i have played. |

Darkfall interests me the most. With it's 5-7 years of development, and it's history of aborted betas just so the devs could polish it more, this game has to be a BEAST! Team Fortress 2/Half life 2's development, anyone? |

We had a compass =o and maps were added eventually, though it was not only voluntary, but either required you to map yourself or download. For the most part before that expansion learning the area beforehand was fun, but I can see it being tedious to not have maps in todays mmorpg's. Anyway, I voted tcos, if you add an A someplace it spells tacos, which are delicious. And the game has held my attention over the years more then the other two. Aion looks pretty, though. |

I cant quite put my finger on it but Im not really interested in any MMOs that are in development atm.......I think alot of it was because of the hype of AoC and WAR and after those it just gets old listening to every single game and how great its going to be.......Seems like every time I go to youtube and watch beta vids of these games they all end up looking the same.....(I was interested in TCoS at one time but I didnt get into beta and there site has very little info on anything so I lost interest........I also lost interest when I found out that they dont really have desirable loot in the game. |

None of them tbh. The MMO space is becoming congested with too many releases and, as in other game genres, a small couple of AAA titles surrounded by second tier products. I am looking forward to WOTLK, the Mines of Moria and continuing to play in Eve and maybe WAR. I may go back and replay EQ2 again as i like retreading old steps.
To err is human....to play is divine |

huxley isnt on that list. am i the only one that sees darkfall as oblivion online (ok an oblivion ripoff online)? Aion has pop written all over it, which is 1 o short of poop so i think i'll avoid stepping in it. im thinking until someone actually does something different i will play the games long enough to piss all over them and then stick to offline games, im in CB for a game (several really) i cant talk about and i gotta tell you it makes the tabula rasa CB look like a HUGE success. hope the world understands. |
