What do you people think about Runes of Magic? Including graphics, sound etc. Are the graphics better then Wow or...?

Oh crap compairing it to WoW is just going to bring the trolls out lol.  D/L it now to see.

Well from looking at the vids and reading the info on it. It looks to be a pretty good game, and if it does have any kind of WoW elements to it, than i see that as a good thing as long as they dont make so of the bonehead moves blizz has been making lately

It looks good and Frogster is an excellent development  company so I'll definitely give it a try :)

they stole the ffxi system and put really nice visuals on it....GREAT! main reason FFXI sucked was the interface (totally ignoring that it comes with DX 8). as long as they dont start selling exp pots and item upgrade shit in the cash shop it looks good to go.

Never like f2p games after some failure in recent ones. However this is one i would like to give it a try. Hope this game will change my thoughts on f2p games

Well RoM seems like really nice compared to other freepies out there. Visually alot like wow yet little bit like lineage 2. Some indepth features like dual class system, recalling runes, crafting, harvesting are taken from other variety of games like guild wars, lineage 2 and ultima online. All together seems really decent and quality mmorpg. :)

So far so good, the best thing i like about it is that you are not restricted to any classes and can level any of the 6 classes up at any time.  The ingame house feature is also pretty sweet as it has its own purpose and will give you extra bonus like 2 x EXP etc. This is quite a nice game for a free 2 play mmo.

I agree, it looks and feels good, and the buggs are actually few so far (seen one + some stuff that need translating from korean so far). And it really don't feel so much Wow as I thought i would either.

So far, Im positivley surprised.... It is no Wow killer but I would guess it is a Rappelz killer.

But as somebody said before, the item shop can sink the game if they sell to good stuff. Gold I really don't mind, goldfarmers sell it in any game anyways.

Yea you have a really good point there, if they start selling things like exp pots for real money then that will affect the game big time, a lot of people will jus rush to the level cap using things like that.  But i did read somewhere the devs mentioned that whateva they put on the item shop will also be available ingame with but it will be a lot harder to get these.

uhhh i think its the new best f2p online game out there, its still in closed beta, so they're still working on some issues, but so far soo good, im excited and waiting for Open Beta!!

hopefully ill be able to go and say "this is the one"!!

The Dual Class system is blah. Level up each class seperately combined with only being able to use half the skills from your secondary just means more work for you that isnt really worth it until later levels.

Having half the game still Japanese did it no favors either. Seriously, what the hell is this crap? Completely amatuer hour.

The sound was horrible. I think it was Mages that had this spell that would make this very loud and extremely annoying "whoosh" noise that finally made me put the game on mute after an hour.

Graphics were Ok. The textures, models and spell effects were below average but the graphic options puts it above most Free to Play MMOs.

Questing and combat was standard.

It's not a bad game but only worth playing if you're really hard up for a Free to Play.

Could you be more rude?!...its just his opinion, he didnt like the game, just like some ppl are not gonna like it..there isnt anything out there that is going to satisfy everyone in the world, just for the simple reason that we all like different things and have different views, no need to atack the poor thing and be all ignorant...just cause the game wasnt what he was looking for. Majority love the game already, ofcourse as everyone knows its still in closed beta therefore they're still preparing the game so the game is not ready yet, if he wants to jugde the game from a closed beta, then you, me and the rest of the ppl who come here will know what type of person he is.(no need on mentioning it)... as will ppl see your comment and guess what kind of person u r. he didnt like it, soo longgg... more space for us...!! This is a idea that prove really successful with FFXI and it has worked well. If you dont like the Dual Class system, then go back to WoW.

It is still in beta, closed beta for that matter. If you want to play a game that has all the bugs worked out and the language is perfect, go back to WoW.

Again, cannot stress this enough, the game is in CLOSED BETA. It is not at its finished state yet. Want to hear alot of noises, go back to WoW.

Graphics look great! Better than all F2P games ive seen so far. Of course, you are prolly use to your "cartoony" graphics I am sure, so go back to WoW.

The quests are fairly easy and reasonable, seems alot less of a grind compared to even the P2P MMOs out there. Combat is very simple and uses a similar system as your WoW does.

It's not a bad game but only worth playing if you're really hard up for a Free to Play.

It is a great game, even considering it is still in closed beta. It is coming along very nicely and I do believe that even those who grind those P2P games would even enjoy a game as nice as this one, maybe even more. Just because it is not what you consider great, doesnt mean it is not. So go play your WoW and pay your $14 a month.

 

 

So, to sum this little comment up, basically the point is... GO BACK TO WOW!!

And why you are at it, LEAVE US ALONE! We like RoM and it deserves more credit than what you did not give it!

imagine someone who likes the game, but thinks the community(ppl who play it) is important as well...and sees all of these?!..ppl who plays it insulting ppl who didnt like it or havent played it. Some ppl dont even care for the game anymore after that...lol

idk about u but i want lots of ppl playing, wouldnt wanna be in a game with few ppl. that'd be boring...so yea its important we keep our forums clean...like jade did, she got upsite and let him know what she thought..but didnt get rude

Hey, you're preaching to the choir. I'd love to see that happen, but with the amount of threads and posts that do the opposite, I'm just saying Don't hold your breath until it happens.  Passing out will be the least of your problems.

On the topic at hand, I like it atm. Nothing new or innovative but relaxed and enjoyable. Time will tell if it keeps my interests in it.
