Seriously can we get off of this ridiculess phrase allready. Especially with this new SW game that was just announced. Its barely more than a thought for Clauds sake.

I'm getting so sick of hearing why every game sucks and its all wow clones and no game is ever worth playing or paying for. Another thing, quick listing stock and company info on game companies; like anyone cares!!! You think it makes you look more well read?? Anyone can look up those stats and post them.

You guys seriously act like the industry owes you something. Well they don't. Not even a little bit. Man i'm so pissed about these forums lately. I love great discusions about games and talking about how fun they are. Its just too bad you wont find that here. WoW is just a game and so is WAR and so is AOC and SWG. So play them or don't.

One last thing, when a game makes changes that you personally don't like; They did not betray you. That is ignorant BS. They have no loyalties to you. No company interested in making money is. In the big picture your feelings are not only invalid to them but invisible. Get off your high horses and enjoy games or don't. I don't even understand who would play a game to not enjoy them.

What's worse, complaining about games or complaining about other people's opinions of games? I'd take a little break from the forums if what people post effects you so much.  I like this site mainly for the fact that it allows players to vent.  Games for the most part suck right now so let people talk about it.  Developers need all the push they can get and you better believe they read gaming forums. 

By the way, you won't find a developer who agrees with anything you said.  If that's how they view gamers then they either aren't in business or won't be for long. :P

I would respect people's opinions a lot more if they actually had something to back up their claims.  The OP has a point, people constantly throw the term "WoW Clone" around.  What exactly does it take to be considered a clone?  Not much by the standards of some people.

I didn't say anything about the developers. I talked about the companies. The developers probobly really have good intentions but that isn't always shown in the approved finished product. The company umbrellas dictate whats on the shelves and they don't care about you.

I agree with the OP. If you don't like a game...don't complain about it. Go find a game you DO like. These holy crusades for justice when a game has betrayed you really get old, but I guess that's what you get when your target group is a bunch of people with over-active imaginations. Games don't fail. You just don't like what they offer. If you don't like what they offer...move the hell on.

The developers are also companies so you would need to be more specific if that's what you meant.  We still have a thing called capitalism so although publishers and investors are more distant than devs they still ultimately care what consumers think.  We are where their money comes from.  Getting this yet?

Chime in all you like.  He's wrong and if a game doesn't deliver not only will people move on on but they'll complain all they like on their way out the door.  This site provides for this along with hundreds of others.  Oh don't worry we won't tell you to leave, as you have, for not liking this neat fact.  You even have the right to complain about the complainers.  Isn't that nice?  What I like to do judge hype, review betas, and look for bs marketing so I can complain (with a few other honest souls) about the game beforehand so people aren't totally at the mercy of the money machine and indifferent drones who disdain other players. 

Imagination was once a good thing by the way before video games rotted some people's brains out.  It should be encouraged.  I guess being a corporate robot is a better alternative?  I'm sorry but nothing gets old like un-imaginative games.  If you're going to point fingers, point it where it belongs.

I just have to say, very well said.  All posts, well said.

Forums are for complaining and new ideas.  Cheerleading is for in-game.  I personally am thankful whenever I read something that confirms the uneasy feeling I've been having about a particular game mechanic.  I'm also grateful for completely frivolous complaints that let me know more about the playerbase I'm dealing with.

It's all good information.  Unlike ra-ra-ra.

Developers are not companies. Developers are employees. Just wanted to make that point.

Beyond that I am glad for my right to complain about complainers. thats what this thread is. I am however greatly dissappointed by the lack of love for video games presented on this site. that was my main point and I stick to it.

Posts like "this game is dying and heres why" and "just another wow clone" are so utterly useless and a lame attempt to sound like you actually have something prolific to say.

I understand it wont change so keep bringing the lame.
