The dev team at Fallen Earth has prepared a three-week series of Dev Journals which take a look at the faction gear you’ll see on NPCs in the game. Today, we’re taking a look at the CHOTA and Enforcers.

Hi all… Circatrix here, writing on behalf of the Fallen Earth Team. We are happy to bring you a sneak peek of the faction gear you’ll see in Fallen Earth™. You may have seen the character modifications we worked on back in July and August, and there have been some impressive improvements. We have also taken the non-player characters’ (NPCs) wardrobe and accessories to a new level.

Leading up to Content Complete, the art department was hard at work improving the look of the Faction NPCs. The screenshots you’ll see here show NPCs, although many of the items are available to players. We worked to build consistency in the color palette, texture and overall design of the faction gear so that NPCs would be readily recognizable for players as they approach. This becomes especially important as eighteen towns are faction settlements and many of the missions are faction-oriented.

Check out the Fallen Earth Dev Journal.

Great!  Glad to see this game getting some love.

No, it isn't f2p; No, there are no "class" systems; No, there is no "magic"; No, there isn't autoattack; No, crafting isn't an afterthought; No, you don't pick your faction upon creation.

Yes, best items will be crafted; Yes, you can go through multiple crafting specialties; Yes, you can go "factionless" through the game, you will miss out if you do, but everyone will "like" you; Yes, you can build persistent vehicles (cars, atvs, dune buggies, etc.); Yes, you can have faction-owned towns in pvp zones; Yes, you choose where to improve your skills through gained AP points.

Just some of the questions I normally see when people ask about the game, if you have any more...ask or look up the old Questions of the Week in the Fallen Earth forums either here or one their website.

Nice looking art design for the characters.   There shouldn't be any problem with customization in this game.

And that lists most of the reasons why I want to play this when its out

Nice to see some games breaking the mould of fantasy and classes.

My thoughts exactly..

Character models and gear looks great. Can't wait for this to come out.

Waiting for Fallen Earth, World of Darkness, Old Republic, FFXIV
