i know in most MMO this is the case anyways.
but i was excited for SGW because of the concept art they showed off, i thought the style and approach would be unique. I hate to say it but all the screen shots/videos I have seen dont look very good I play all ghame |

when I saw the VERY first pics released in 2006, or whenever the game was then announced, the pictures looked amazing. Even looking at them now they look great, however the latest batches of screenshots we've been getting it seems as if they scaled down the graphics or something. |

The game is still very early... It just started close beta. a lot of the stuff you will see are mostly just palce holders for other things to come. Cannt run around looking at blocks can we lol. I would wait awhile before starting to complain about the graphics. A lot of the first Pictures anyone saw of the game were prerendered anyways... I wouldn't start judging just yet. Id wait till around when open beta starts.. Than I would say if you wanted to judge that would be a better shot than... But again its still way to early for anyone to start bashing the game yet. its not even really a full game yet so to speak. |

I want this game to be good as I am a huge Stargate fan...but I am sensing a failure of Tabula Rasa proportions. :( |

I wonder if that Stargate room is going to be the main 'hang-out' location in the game (for humans) like Atlas Park in City of Heroes or Ironforge Bank in WoW :) |

You SHOULD know that pre-closed beta graphic are never the final one. The skin,bump and shader are not fully enabled because they are testing the game so complain about it is USELESS. If you dont like the arts complain it is useless too because this is only a question of taste.. Some like them some not.. |

If I had to guess, the combat will likely be *very* similar to TR, especially if they lean towards the "action" style that is becoming more prevalent in MMO design and that TR actually did a good job with. TR had basic hand to hand melee weapon attacks as well as ranged attacks produced from melee weaponry (like the staves). TR also had disperse weapons; not only flame throwers but also sonic, viral, EMP and cryo based weaponry using the same concept (I loved my grenadier). The one thing that this game will offer (potentially) is a greater adventure with less limitation. That, added with the general IP "cool" factor, will help the success and longevity, imho. TR combat is a blast, it just needs a new setting for its application. |

Dont be fool by first closed beta screen. Complaining about graphic before launch is useless.
