I'd be happy, although, it would have to be more polished and balanced. |

A moot point, since it will, in all likelihood, not happen.
BioWare will do their own game and while I am not 100% sure about this, since I obviously don#t know what they are doing, I am pretty sure that it is a safe bet that it won't simply be SWG v2.0. Pre-CU or not. |

It would be enough to make me swear off anything Bioware ever made in the future. Recreating other people's failures isn't a good business plan. "Any sufficiently advanced incompetence is indistinguishable from malice." ~Greys Law |

The old SWG was the MMO-love of my life. I never enjoyed a MMO as this, and never spent so much time and enthusiam with any MMO. But no, times changed, I changed and a sandbox alone would not be able to keep me these days. I do want something sandboxish, but I also would want quests, good PVP, stories and adventures to undertake. It had some great things I hope to see again, but like others I want to roam new paths also. |

I expect them to allow some player created content. Just look at the upcoming game Dragon Age, look back at NWN titles. They allow players to create their own games with the module editors. This is a form of sandboxing. BioWare has always liked to see what kind of things players could create, so why would the MMO be any different? |

Lol, that's an understatement there OP. As a game SWG was a heaping pile of stink; beyond community, SWG was nothing but potential. Ico |

No, I would not want to see Bioware remake Pre-CU SWG. Even though Pre-NGE will always stand out as the game I called home, it had too many issues to fix, yet also had so much potential. Pre-NGE or Pre-CU SWG is a very fond memory, and that is where it needs to be kept. I would like to see a developer, whether it be Bioware or anyone else, take the aspects that made SWG beloved by so many and give them new life in another Star Wars MMO (any MMO to be honest). Non-instanced player housing with the ability to be decorated by the player, wide open sandbox worlds, skill based classes, crafting system that supports the player crafters, factional PvP that has story and merit, and the list goes on. Whether these aspects were combined into a new Star Wars game or different genre of MMO wouldn't matter to me, it would be worth my time and money to play. As other have posted already, Bioware does not make these type MMO's. The closest they have come is Neverwinter Nights and it was not an MMO but player hosted worlds that allowed for 60 players or less per world. It did offer those aspects, minus the player changeable housing (had to get one the builders for the world to add the changes). As for anything else Bioware has done, they have been fantastic story-line / quest intensive games that centered around how you developed your character. Bioware's games are not sandboxes, characters develop more along paths from choices you make, maps are not wide open, but pathed also. Despite those limitations (joke!) their games are unique and full of rich and varied content. SWG v2 is only a dream unless you make it happen, no other company will. |

This isn't going to happen, ever. Pre-CU is most likely going to be full of epic fail when the new Bioware MMO is released. |

Although I can't completely disagree, the bottom line is that SWG kept my interest for longer than WoW with just community, crafting, and a bit of end game content. For sure, end game content is where SWG got stale, which is why I advocate the combination of a sandbox and quest-type / boss-killing gameplay. More of a mix of Diablo 2 (heavy emphasis on gear variety), SWG (crafting and community), and some form of PvP focus. My next mmo will be a huge world with the gameplay variety I mentioned above. I may visit some other games until that time, but none will be my mmo home. Mmos today are made to be short-lived games rather then longer term mmo endeavors. |

I would play it.I would play almost anygame now if it was well made.Seems like good games were common pre-WOW and after 2004 it has hit the skids other than if you want to play WOW. |

Of course not. But if they want to take some of the better qualites of Pre-Good SWG like being able to hybrid your character between tank/dps/healer/30 differrent professions, complete 'sandbox' open free world, terrific story tie-in, cutting edge environment/graphics, sci-fi, great crafting system, player created housing, and fun pvp, then please, by all means steal as much as they want. Doesn't have to be Naritus all over again, just asking for something different other than the Wow clones or the other dumbed down-instance laden crap littering the MMO landscape. |

With updated graphics and a few tweaks yes I'd be very happy with it. Actually I'd play with no changes just pre cu....But anything else added would be candy lol |

They won't do it and nobody should expect them to do anything they want, making money will dictate how the game goes. Sandbox just doesn't pull in the major cash anymore so i wouldn't expect that ever. "The great thing about human language is that it prevents us from sticking to the matter at hand." |

If your going into this game expecting to see a sandbox, 30+ profession and advance crafting like SWG your going to be disappointed. Have a open mind and forget Pre CU and SWG! This is a different company with different goals You have to look at what Bioware is good at and that storytelling and creative choice driven quest. Baldur Gate, KoTOR 1, NWN, Jade Empire and Mass Effect all show you the type of game we will be getting from them. Yes, the world will be must bigger then a SP game don't expect a sandbox. From what I heard this dev team are all big MMO players. They like to try games out. Must of them played other games AOC , LOTR , WOW and now are playing WAR. So I'm sure they seem what has fail and what works. If they are smart they will be bring what works from the other MMO into this game. Just like WOW did when it first was released. We just have alittle more then 24 hours to go! |

Maybe they will decide to give the people what they want for a change.... ....A great Sandbox Game that tells a great Story...how ya like that? I mean how dare they give everyone what they want. I mean that would just be wrong right? What a Concept. |
