Darkfall has the most rabid fans, ironically while they think theyre touting the game, theyre actually turning a lot of people off to the community based on a few narrow minded zealots. I highly doubt its going to require a masters degree in computer science to play Darkfall, please, peddle your elitist attitude elsewhere, if people enjoy a game, who gives you the right to criticize? |

A lot of people don't voice thier opions on this board, The Game is out of balance CHAOS is to powerful it just is. Thats why I stopped after 30 days as a lvl 30 Which Hunter if I can't kill a lvl 23 Chaos healer in a rvr zone something is wrong just wrong. So back again to SWG. Ajax |

They should make a game where you can post on forums and whine about the latest MMOs and how bad they are and how bad all they are failing. The more you whine the more you level up and you get special forum rewards for whining and QQing the most. |

Darkfall wont be anything big. A niche game like EVE. Itll have more subs than eve due to it being fantasy. But if you think its going to revolutionize the genre your dreaming. Reminds me of the Shadowbane following back in the day. . |

Yes DF has rabid fans, yet I leave one lil comment, which wasnt even incredibly insulting, and look how you guys swarm over it... but yea WE'RE the rabid ones..... keep telling yourself that and while playing DF wont require a masters degree, you will at LEAST have to have SOME degree of intelligence and initiative, you wont be led around by your hand like a kid not allowed to cross the street without mommy. If you need a HS Diploma for DF you only need to pass kindergarten for War, thats why my nephew of 7 years old is doing real well in it HAHA |

I don't think that Darkfall will revolutionize the genre, but I do think that it has a chance to put up high subscription numbers. The MMO market is ripe for a game that isn't based around the theme-park design. A lot of people who play MMOs are beginning to grow weary of WoW and its clones. If it's not Darkfall that makes it big, there will be another MMO that is designed differently from the norm that will become popular. |

Reminds me of the Shadowbane following back in the day. . I dont want it to revolutionize the genre, I just want a good solid game with player skill, risk and reward, and intelligence required. Niche is fine im not one of those idiots who think the amt of subs a game has tells you how good it is, look at WOW, crap, many subs still crap, same for War Im well aware DF will be niche, Wow and War were made for the lowest common demoninator, all the lil kiddies out there tht play there video games on the easiest mode... which is fine, just dont make assumptions about my DF expectations. Funny you mentioned eve, I play and love eve, and Wow OR War could never hold a candle to Eve. I wonder.. did you think War would revolutionize the genre? If anything it took it back a huge step, at least DF is a step int he right direction... |

Sure a 7 year old can play DF, but unlike WOW and WAR he cant do well in it. Too much player skill required. It's not so much about the complexity of the game, but the fact that its an open sandbox and not a hand-led theme park. First off, a 7 year old wouldnt know what do in a sandbox. Have you ever played a sandbox? There is no big bright yellow question mark showing you where to do. There is no funnel, sending you from zone to zone. There is nothing your SUPPOSED to do like or raid or w/e limited options your theme park games give you. Your just there and you do what you want, trust me a 7 year old kid will not know what to do. Also, risk vs reward, in your lil games you die nothing happens. Evertyime poor lil 7 year old kid gets killed and fully looted he will likely be lost in a world of wolves. Df will be like Eve, Eve is a VERY cold unforgiving world that takes more thought in your first ship then all of WOW and WAR combined., go find out how many lil 7 year olds get ANYWHERE in eve, now ask the same for WOW and WAR... I rest my case I guess you wont be getting your laugh tonight )= |

I even recall 10 year olds playing EQ back in the day and doin a damn fine job of it. Again this whole elitist attitude is getting a little old. There hasnt been a video game out there thats too hard for kids to play. EVER. |

Sigh, the kid cant read. I said 7, not 10 or under 10... pretty big difference. There are PLENTY of games out there too hard for kids.. try again. Again, I didnt say they cant PLAY Eve or Df, I said they cant excel and do well. Only thing you should be laughing at is your inability to comprehend a VERY simple concept. Btw I just read your post in the DF forums about how you REALLY hope DF come sout and lives up to its promises cuz you REALLY wanna play it............ HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

careful Arcken, this one is not playing with a full deck. He /she did the same crap with me about an hour ago. Velika: City of Wheels: Among the mortal races, the humans were the only one that never built cities or great empires; a curse laid upon them by their creator, Gidd, forced them to wander as nomads for twenty centuries... |

Yeah all you have to do is tell a kid a basic idea of the game. Dodge players attacks and try to kill them IM sure they could do it. And about the sandbox thing kids have some crazy imaginations so who knows what they would do. |

TheBrewer is so obsessed with the PC game WAR that he has been posting on their message boards trying to start arguments with the people who actually do play the game. He even denies his obsession with the game even though he doesnt play it. It is almost scary how obsessed and preoccupied he is with WAR that that he has lowered himself to make up lies about it, such as claiming the game has failed. Enjoy -- |

You used the word obsess in your definition of obsess... MUHAHAHAHHA. Regardless im not starting a fight you guys just cant stand that your game is going down in flames and everyone knows it. It's not an obsession im just bored at work and you guys and your stout rabid defense of this crap is VERY entertaining to me. Again learn the definition of obsession cuz ya still using it wrong )= |
