I am going to give up having a discussion with you.  You obviously choose to HATE almost every game.  It goes beyond being a skeptic.  I see you post in other game forums, not just DF, and nothing is ever good enough for you.  It is really scary to think that there is a human behind the Arkcen nick that really may believe in the things you type on this forum.

In WAR forums where you said you were upset that Mythic was working on new classes (the cut ones to be specific) instead of fixing your broken class, the Magus, someone replied about how Jacob's stated that the next patch would be showing love to your class.  Im paraphrasing from memory.  And your response showed absolutly no happiness, you said that it upset you because you felt the magus needed more time to balance and felt like it wasnt getting its fair share if it was being pushed along with the other classes.  You need to chill out and either stop playing/following MMOs or learn how to have fun in them again.

On to your question though about what proof i have.  Of course I have no proof that the game will be 100% what Tasos said it would be.  Do you have proof that when we wake up tomorrow the world will still be here?  I mean can you guarentee it to me?  Yea dramatic example i know...but the point is anything is possible, but yet I have faith that the world will still be there.

This may be hard for you to understand, but until i spend $ on a product, I dont have anything to lose.  I have no reason to think that DF and its Devs are lieing to me.  If anything, their development cycle has caused me to trust them more than most developers.  Because they delayed their game because it wasnt good enough you feel wronged by them, fine thats your twisted opinion.  But the majority of people are a little more open minded and dont have a problem TRUSTING a company that owes us NOTHING so far.  YOU chose to follow their game before release, you have no right to pass judggement on them when nothin was asked of you.

This was a lengthy response, but its because im never going to bother responding to one of your posts again.  There is no pleasing you and you are a generally upset person with an I hate everything view on the world and the more i see your posts, the more it depresses me.  I don't think you are necessarily a troll, just really misguided.

edit: and like someone else said in this thread...if DF releases with 1/2 of its promised features...it will be leaps and bounds beyond whats currently availible on the market based on what its fans are looking for in a game.

I'm just glad they released some public footage. The lack of public media is one of those "to busy, can't talk" things from the devs. I respect the fact that they aren't hyping it or spinning it out of control. If its a good game, they will come.

Those people mentioned strived to be different my friend. They preserverd in spite of the haters. People laughed at Christopher Columbus when he first tried to tell people the world was round. DarkFall isn't a mainstream game, nor a mainstream game. It  dares to be different. Those that seem to enjoy the idea are in a way told the world is flat not round, your an idiot for believing otherwise.

DarkFall is far from mainstream dude. Sandbox with FFA PvP full loot made by a small indie company.

Those that follow are told they are idiots for simply enjoying the concept behind DarkFall. There told they should remain skeptical because it isn't main stream. There told there's no way it can work. This is the kinds of things the haters from the MAINSTREAM are saying to people that follow and or are a fan of DarkFall. So I am sorry lol but your no Galileo, because he Dared to be different and tried to go against the mainstream belief. is that how much the two games have made so far?

I know AoC sold near a million copies, but I didn't think it was doing THAt good...

The servers are empty some even have on prime time 300 players devided over several instance so maybe sometimes you see somebody in that game:P,  do the math on AoC:p

Why dont you go ahead and explain why the opinions you and your camp harbor are worthy, and anyone who disagrees with you gets to deal with your personal attacks and name calling?

So when Christopher Columbus was told the earth was flat, but was skeptical, his opinion on the subject was "unhealthy"?

When Darwin created the theory of evolution, and went against conventional church beliefs, he was in fact "unhealthy"?

Those that seem to enjoy the idea are in a way told the world is flat not round, your an idiot for believing otherwise.

DarkFall is far from mainstream dude. Sandbox with FFA PvP full loot made by a small indie company.

Those that follow are told they are idiots for simply enjoying the concept behind DarkFall. There told they should remain skeptical because it isn't main stream. There told there's no way it can work. This is the kinds of things the haters from the MAINSTREAM are saying to people that follow and or are a fan of DarkFall. So I am sorry lol but your no Galileo, because he Dared to be different and tried to go against the mainstream belief. You have said in essence that since DarkFall isn't mainstream people should not be a fan .... that they should be skeptical because it isn't mainstream......

Do you see where you kind of went astray with that analogy lol? Darwin went against the church, the church is very kind to people that did that arround that time. There the ones that claimed people that followed an idea other than there own were heritics and cults. So DarkFall and it's followers fit a bit better in the Darwin category while you my friend tend to fit a bit more in the church category. Next time think things through before you post lol.

This is what happens with every mmorpg where all the fanbois come to the forum to defend the mmorpg from any bad feedback like they work on the PR team for that mmorpg. If you are going to be blatantly insulting, and say things that arent true, at least get a basic grasp on how to use the language, this was a very poor attempt at  character assassination.

And for the record, if you have indeed gone through my WAR related posts you'll notice I voice concerns about my class being broken, and the t3 scenario Tor Anroc being unfair. Unlike yourself, you will never admit to seeing anything wrong with Darkfall. I am at least not taking a blind faith stance.

Secondly you'll notice I dont make personal attacks against people who arent much into WAR, theyre entitled to their opinion.

Lastly I am careful of not generalizing the entire Darkfall fanbase, I try my best to remember the use of words like, some, and many of, but not all.

Again, thank you for validating my point  that some of the rabid Darkfall fans make the rest of the community look bad with personal attacks and insults for nothing more than a difference of opinion.
