So the new video that shows people playing DF over the internet has pretty much sent any vaporware kids who hadn't already given up running.  It clearly is real and releasing, if you think otherwise sorry but its no longer an opinion thing if you have taken the time to look at all the media.

Two things ive noticed were that the graphics were graphically amazing on this new video and people were right about the whole gameplay video not being 100% accurate on the actual graphics.

Also the AI you can see is definitely advanced....you can actually see the goblin trying to flank the pc instead of just standing there.

With beta about to start...looks like what many have been waiting for is comming soon. 

Finally a sandbox game that doesn't hold our hand and dares to be different.

Hope they have a smooth stable launch...can't wait !

I really got a Mount and Blade feeling when I watched the combat. Obviously not as polished as Mount and Blade but they have plenty of time to polish it up before release which is what im sure we will see come closed beta.

Thats the big issue now....how smooth the combat will be and server stability.  Hope I get into beta early.

Also we saw the UI which was the troll topic of the week for awhile there, and it is exactly what we said it was all along.  Small and simple to help with immersion.

but before they do Id liek to say I completel;y agree with you.. when i saw the latest video.. i was floored.. and my head was/is spinning.. the game is going to be incredible.. its all their.. the graphics are really great!

The vid from the event looks great, and the scale of the game is starting to look immense. This is going to be a game of discovery and just to survive people are going to have to work together theres going to lots of free loot all ready to be picked up in the middle of PvE minefields.

The graphics look better vevery time we see more output and if the game is anything to go by people will be too intent on surviving , to really worry about the graphics. Lots more in teh video including large scale dungeon areas coordinates on the maps and othe features to be spotted. Classic GUI looking better and better just love the old UO style loot bags.

Yes, one happy chappy here too. Man that planet moving looked awesome didnt you think? It is all coming together and starting to look really great, i love the style. I do hope though that they will knock up a video of some other features such as crafting/harvesting, perhaps city building and other pveish elements like that, just to see how it is.

Yep everything is looking great.  And yea the flames im sure will come, but i doubt anyone is really listening to them anymore after all the new info has come out.  There will always be naysayers, but most of them have crawled away and are probably signing up for beta.

I really hope the game has a smooth launch, because everything about the game looks great and it really is one of the last hopes to renewing faith in MMOs for many people.

You want to see decent graphics, go look at AoC, Lotro, War, even DDO.   Videos are blaise and easily faked.  I want to see someone review the game that has actually played it.

You guys got to stop talking about the graphics being great.... They are not great for technology in this time of age. They could do A LOT better! You guys should go and check out those games that Ozmodan has put down. You will see the difference.

As Ozmodan also said it is gameplay that sells the game not graphics.

Graphics aren't phenomenal but I think they're adequate. That being said, running 200+ person battles will be possible.

Pretty fair compromise imo. Gameplay > Graphics. G G

I'm admazed how a short video answers all the questions. I know you peeps are happy but dam you guys need to rain that shit in. Yes i saw it and its not the BE ALL that you guys are making it out to be. best to wait until more rewiews and real play test by gamers come out. And you can't tell what the AI of the mobs is like from that video, way too short and weak of a video to call it advanced ....lol

and when it ran away it was zig zagging away from players .

I've SEEN those graphics. The only graphics out right now that beat Darkfall are Vanguard and Age of Conan. LotRO is close, but its running off of a really old AC2 engine, and it shows its age often. DDO? You gotta be kidding me. WAR? Dark Age of Camelot beats it, its predecessor, thats been out since 2001. Easily beats it.

I think the single most beautiful moment in the video was the planets/moon. Wow, I haven't seen skies like that since Oblivion and Morrowind.
