Tired of WAR and the almost limitless bugs in T4? Tired of being stuck in scenarios and hardly ever seeing the world? Anyways I could go on like that but I wont. Ill just say after having tried AoC and now WAR, I wont be playing a new released game again.Which brings me to why I am posting.
2 days ago I fired up the Vanguard account. Hadnt played since launch and we all know how that went. The game has come 180 degrees from launch. No lag and graphics that in my OP is still better than AOC's. Went from 1 to 20 in 2 days just barely playing. Theres tons of new quests. A portal system so traveling is easy as hell and leveling so far is just great. No other game have I been running out to a quest spot and just stopped. panned around and just looked at the world. The world "feels" alive and you can honestly immerse yourself.
I ran into 1 bug while playing these last 2 days. And it was just a UI bug. Flying mounts are in and work. You dont drop while chunking etc. You can rent a flying mount cheap to get to quest areas without having to dodge every passing mob. All in all this game is rocking and had it come out this summer the way it is now, you would be playing it.
The only thing it needs is players and an expac budget those players will bring. So in closing, if your tired of bland, watered down gaming then give vanguard another look. |

Same can be said about AoC after the fall content patch is released. All new MMOs are about as polished as WoW was at release, which isn't saying much and its a sad state that this is the case :(

I'm glad you found your game in Vanguard. Burning yourself in scenarios was only your fault, because they are only sidekick and the main event is OpenRvR. And when it comes to being in T4 already when the game hasn't been alive for a month, tough luck. Why grind ranks to find yourself bored beats me. Live long and prosper. Once you decide to come back to WAR, join Order. We are the ones walking out of this mess alive :D

AoC boxed you in with pretty much linear content.
Vanguard has this huge and i mean HUGE world and they have added enough content to fill it out. It is possible to lvl chars off 1 continent alone.
Give it a shot. I think most people will be absolutly amazed by this game like i was when i installed it 2 days ago. |

So this is basically just a Vanguard hype attempt... Sorry - been there, done that, won't ever do that again. My last attempt was a couple of months ago, and there was no "alive world" that met me. It was more dead than ever. Vanguard was crap, Vanguard is crap, and Vanguard will forever be crap! |

AoC may be instanced, and thats a turn off for many, but if you can get past that the game is quite entertaining. However, wait until the Fall content patch is done before jumping into it because when its done the end game content people have been craving for will be in the game as well as numerous side quest that 80s can still do for fun and content.

Hi everybody. I played DAoC, after i played WoW and tryed Age of Conan in the Beta and Release times. But i still closed my Age of Conan Account after the first 2 Weeks because of tomuch bugs. Now i played Warhammer for about 2 Weeks and it totaly Sucks. There is no Endgame contnat as in other games, because u start with pvp scenarios with lvl 1. Thats the hole thing u will do with max lvl to. You just do Scenarios because Its Faster Xp and Faster Renown Points. Why should i make Open RvR so ? Thats the point who will kill this game. Why they always bring that f**** BGs/Scenarios, most people just plays Scenarios and nothing else. I dont see a Future for Warhammer after the hype is gone.
2 Days Ago i find out that there is a 14 Day Trial of Vanguard now and i installed that one. I played it about some hours and it looked realy fine. But i also tryed the 14 Day Trial of Lord of the Rings online and it look AMAZING, the graphics holy shit, Age of conan looks like 5 Years old vs. Lotro. But i will also Try Age of Conan again, i heard its much better now then release and they fixed alot. Maybe its playable now.
I prefer give AoC, Lotro, Vanguard and co a second chance, as to play Warhammer.
Just my 50 cent ;) |

I've seen AoC launch. I have a box and I'm sorry but it just didn't do it for me. I have to admit that I liked the graphics in Dreamfall: Longest Journey and that was the main reason why I bought AoC in launch (the same engine). Well, I'm not going back there.

In this game having max rank character in the first month isn't a merite to be proud of, IMO. It means that you haven't participated in OpenRvR, but rushed through the PvE content and find yourself limited in playing because you can't get back to lower tier areas where others are killing each other. Majority of players will be in T4 in 1-2 months from now. I'm in T2&T3 with 2 characters. Both have Rank and RenownRank on same level, because I play 90% OpenRvR. When there's no keeps to take or BOs to capture, I do scenarios (I don't do much scenarios I have been to Mount Gunbad with my guildies and it's pretty good dungeon IMO, but to me it's often more fun to try to reach the dungeon through all the Destruction players. If only they existed inside the dungeon too, it would be a riot Saying WAR has as many bugs as AoC did is just not true. Either you're exaggerating or you don't know what you are talking about. Saying WAR is easy, might mean PvE in WAR is easy because if you're that good against other humans then there's nothing anyone can do. You're just better than anyone else. EDIT: I take it you didn't participate in any 4-6 hours long sieges in T2 or T3? If you did, you wouldn't say the game was meant for sessions maximum of 2 hours. Not that you can't play it like that, it's your choice to do so.

NO I am not Tired of war. Playing casually I have a 16 WP, 17 WH and 8 Magus. So I have barely scratched the content available and expect to be playing happily for at least 18 months. by which time KOTORO might be out. Why would I try a game that screwed their release like Vanguard and AOC? They screwed their release - I dont intend to reward them for it now. And I understand you would like more people to play Vanguard so you have people to play with. Good luck finding them. |

Nope im not tired of WAR, just had a fun day of RvR had 3 full warbands going around taking keeps totally destroyed the destruction. |

After about 100 hours of WAR, I got bored with it, I think I realized that there is nothing waiting for me when I finish, just the same, nothing new, this is way too boring, WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!

Dead bored with WAR. On my server destruction always owns T3 and usuallly T4. Order rarely ever come out to play and usually quit after 2 wipes attempting to take a keep. They have a habit of taking all of them back late nights when not many destruction are on. Ntm both our guild banners are bugged stuck in keeps we claimed. So with owning all the keeps and BOs in my tier {im talking all day 12hrs on the weekends}, im left to run around and do quests {incredibly repetitive} and PQs with their negative rolls. Everyone knows most ppl are just sitting in Avelorn doing scenarios and handing in those quests, just go look at them. Then check the leaderboards and you will recognise the names. The final straw came when I was struggling to drag our guildies out of their damn scenarios to take back a few BOs to go towards our guild rank. I mean honestly this game is like playing Fury again, queuing up and killing x amount of ppl in the time frame. No tx. I might give AoC another go. I hit 80 faster than anyone in my guild and got bored lol. As for gfx compared to Lotro you must be joking. Have you played both games on max settings? Both look great but AoC's environment combined with the masterful soundscape outshines lotro. They didnt even have dx10 turned on for AoC when I played either. Considering just waiting for Stargate Worlds now, since all these recent MMOs havent done much to provide long lasting entertainment. That said the only reason ppl played lotro for so long was due to timing, and every other mmo release getting delayed. That was some brilliant marketing strategy there! Was the only fresh mmo for a fair while. During my boredom I got SW Force unleashed which I had been waiting for quite some time and finished in about 4 days casual playing {restarting after my savegame corrupted on the weekend too}. Im not sure what it is about games these days. I'd love to play something that would retain its playerbase long after the initial hype of a new release.

Oh god, not more people trying to recruit more MMO burnouts to Vanguard. That game is a damn eyesore and by this point, with a bunch of bitter ex-AOC and maybe ex-WAR players I can only imagine how nasty the community is. |

To pel i dunno what to say maybe reading comprehension isnt your cup of tea. I was in Halycon Affinity which is the first guild to take a t4 fortress.. blea, i could go on. Like I was getting at. having done more things already in WAR than most people will do in a year, I find the game exceedingly boring. The T4 GAME BREAKING bugs tho was the kicker. I could go into those also but wont.
You obviously arent out of T2 or later T3. The game is buggy as hell. The first part of war was polished just like AOC did to the 1-20 game. Read any war message board and you will see the bugs.
Ive only been back to VG for a few days. So far there has been 2 nights that lvl 50 chars showed up in all major quest hubs handing out buffs, bags, and other help for low lvls. Both nights is was a player driven event. No one made these people do it and from what i saw it included at least 50 people. This was on xeth. So to me the community is fricken great.
To all those people who are burnt out on the simplistic, buggy, wowified games out there, come give VG another shot. The Trial is free and downloads in a reasonable time. |
