And there will be a big drop in 4 weeks when the WoW expansion is released. However, a couple of months after that release, I would expect to see people starting to trickle back to WAR (as they get tired of the expansion). You mean to go "try to log into WoW"? I've heard from a lot of people that after that patch they couldn't even log in for 24 hours. lol And to be on topic. I have noticed no queues as often on volkmar, but I think that's due to people calming down their playtime, not people quitting the game. Could just be wishful thinking though. Either way I'm still able to find plenty of groups and things to do in-game on Volkmar. --------------------------------------------- |

Ostermark has remained pretty much the same since launch, with maybe a slight increase. We had three full Order warbands with an additional partially filled fourth one in Tier three High Pass last weekend on Sunday, so i'm guessing that means we are definately not decreasing in population. Destruction had about 2 or 3 warbands, atleast enough to cram into the keep gate when we broke it down. It took our warbands about 30 seconds of jumping over players, AoEing, and tossing them around. It was fun good fun..... especially throwing gobbos off of the walls. STOP WHINING! |

There is some drop but that is pretty normal for any new game. There is always a surge of people jumping on the first couple weeks and then a bunch deciding they didn't like it and moving on. In a couple months it should stablize. From xfire the drop doesn't look too bad 5-10% per week. |

I do believe that they raised that caps on the servers. I know they had a lower cap at release to not overload the servers. I read somewhere recently that they were going to be raising it soon. |

Im have three servers i play on for various reasons and i have noticed a decrease in population. Karag Eight Peaks although gets full it doenst get to que much any more. This decrease i noticed a while after the clone so i dont think the clone is a factor here. Im on one called Makaisson or something (rp server) and its like a ghost town, i havent seem more than 5 people in the world areas and not done any PQs (up to the 3rd stage...grinded stages 1 for gear solo). Scenarios on that server take so long to get into its not worth the wait. TBH i thinking about stopping soon myself. in all the servers and tiers and sides its undeniable the game balance is in favour of the desto and they just own the map. If your Order is frustrationg and if your Desto is just to easy. |

Its not uncommon for server populations to drop shortly after the release of a new game. Mythic is not worried over this I'm sure. It happens to all mmorpgs. Its expected. There is a honeymoon phase where a huge surge of people swarm the servers once a new game is finally released. Lots will stay, lots will leave. War may dwindle down to a few servers eventually (not soon if ever) but it will be around a long time. |

Well, I was playing on Phoenix Throne, Skull Throne and Azazel, and the populations never really changed and were always high. Even at one in the morning we could still get into scenarios very quickly. Waiting for Fallen Earth, World of Darkness, Old Republic, FFXIV |

I haven't noticed any population drop on Eltharion which seems to be one of the most highly populated EU server (if not most populated), but when I was browsing today at the servers to see where I would make my alt I noticed that most servers were low/medium instead of medium/medium or medium/high. So yeah, I think a few server merges would be in place (but then again, I felt that there were too many servers anyways since day one). |

Slight dropoff in my medium sized guild (from 20-25 on a night, to 15-20ish), but overall Ulthuan server is doing well. Dest has a numbers advantage but nothing that Order has not been able to overcome. Tier3 last weekend RvR was constant mayhem in the evenings with hundreds battling. |

Of course there will be a drop off, it no longer has that new game smell. |

Nope, I'm actually seeing more guild members being online this week than the last couple. |

If there is not an obvious difference in the next week I will be astounded.
Even with a really generous 75% retention the population is so spread out that 50% of the servers will take a real hit.
Many low pops will probably just plain die
doesn't mean game is dying 75% retention would be great, but it does show how badly population has been managed. |

Azazel.
Had ques on order side about 1.5 weeks ago. Have not had a que in over a week.
T3 Scenarios seem to pop about every 5-10 minutes now instead of instantly like before the recent patch.
Never even see a (FULL) que on destro side any more.
After the free 30 days is up ( on the 18th I believe) I AM SURE THERE WILL BE A DIP ON MOST SERVERS. |

I consider it bad because they almost instantly tried to fix queues but have not even said what they will do about the low populations server.
The low population servers were an extremely serious issue within the first week far more serious than queues. I posted a thread here about it within i think 5 of the pre-release.
Mythic has done nothing for the issue and probably made it worse with the XP bonus. They had three weeks to do something, to say something.
They haven't. They failed completely on one of there Top 3 issues. Therefore they managed it very badly.
This game is nothing without a server with a decent population. It is a highly mediocre game with out that population. They let 25% of their player base play a mediocre game for 4 weeks. The problem was apparent after a week. That is bad

too funny. are you trying to tell us, that all the people who bought the game and tried it out and wont be playing after giving the game a shot are all going to be playing up until the very last minute of their free month ? building up a character in an MMO they dont ever intend on playing again ? the players who quit are most likely NOT playing at all anymore. To suggest they are going to play right up until the end of their free month and the losses wont be noticeable until the free month is 100% officially up -- is in a word, comical. |
